Etsy adds three new features to optimize seller services

According to foreign media reports, Etsy recently added the following three features to its buyer and seller communication system. Etsy said these features will help save sellers time and better handle order issues.

 

With the addition of new features, sellers can view more order details in the messaging system , including order total and shipping status .

 

At the same time, Etsy encourages customers to add photos to explain when they encounter problems , so that sellers can easily and quickly find the problem and speed up the resolution of the problem.

 

Additionally, buyers can issue refunds without leaving a message. When buyers encounter difficulties with order issues , a "Refund" button is provided in the messaging system , which allows consumers to simplify the process of handling issues.

 

Etsy has also previously launched the "Star Seller Program". The so-called Star Seller Program means that if a seller meets certain standards, such as being able to respond to consumer questions quickly and responding to more than 95% of messages from buyers, Etsy will place a badge on the seller's list. The purpose of launching this badge is also to make it easier for buyers to identify sellers with a "reliable record of providing an excellent customer experience."

 

Before the peak shopping season is coming, Etsy has been continuously adjusting and optimizing measures, hoping to achieve new success during the peak sales season. However, Etsy had a small incident on Labor Day. The promotional prices on the first day of Labor Day were not displayed, which was complained by some foreign sellers. Fortunately, Etsy responded to the sellers' feedback in a timely manner.

 

As the peak season approaches, competition among major platforms is becoming increasingly fierce. In order to deal with possible problems, various strategies have been adopted. However, compared with Amazon, Walmart and other platforms that have increased recruitment and expanded shipping, Etsy 's actions are not very big. However, unlike Amazon and Walmart, the development of Etsy 's platform has not fluctuated too much, and its sales and revenue have been relatively stable.
