Russian Ozon consumer trust reaches 73%

Russian Ozon consumer trust reaches 73%

On August 30, according to foreign media reports, according to a poll, Ozon accounted for 73% of all e-commerce platforms in Russia.

According to reports, Ozon has developed rapidly in Russia. In just three years, it has grown from an inconspicuous small platform to the third largest e-commerce platform in Russia, with a national awareness of 59%. Among them, consumer trust has reached 73%, slightly lower than the 78% of Wildberry, the largest online retailer and fashion platform in Russia.

In addition, the report also pointed out that due to the impact of the epidemic, more and more Russians have joined the trend of online shopping. As of June 30 this year, about 38% of Russians have shopped on e-commerce platforms, while this proportion was only 9% in 2020.

The epidemic has accelerated the development of e-commerce, and Ozon has just caught up with this wave of dividends. Data shows that in the second quarter of 2021, Ozon's revenue increased by 53% year-on-year to 37.018 billion rubles (498 million US dollars), and the number of active buyers exceeded 18.4 million.

In addition to the rapid development of its e-commerce business, Ozon has also actively developed and improved its platform rules, which has been widely praised by merchants. It is reported that the platform commission policy implemented by Ozon is the lowest among all Russian e-commerce platforms, thus attracting a large number of merchants to settle in.

In addition, the Ozon Card service launched by Ozon is also highly praised. Since its launch in December 2020, more than 1 million users have used this service.

It is reported that Ozon Holdings (Ozon for short) was established in 1998 and is the second largest e-commerce platform in Russia. The platform is often compared with Amazon and has 19 million SKUs. Since 2015, the platform has been developing rapidly. It not only landed in Belarus at the beginning of the year, but also plans to launch its platform in Kazakhstan before the end of the year.

Although the Russian e-commerce market is relatively small at present, it has huge market potential and is expected to quadruple in the next five years. Ozon is still maintaining its rapid development momentum and is in a stage of vigorous development. We hope that interested merchants will pay more attention to this platform and seize business opportunities.
