AliExpress: Cainiao official overseas warehouse plans to implement a new warehouse service fee plan

 

AliExpress announced that starting from October 1, 2021, Beijing time, Cainiao Official Overseas Warehouse plans to implement a new warehouse rent (i.e. "warehouse service fee") plan. The announcement pointed out that the cargo owner will be exempted from the warehouse service fee for 30 days after entering the Cainiao Official Overseas Warehouse for the first time; after the 30-day rent-free period, it will be charged on a natural monthly basis. If the inventory turnover days are 60 days or less, the warehouse service fee will be exempted; if the inventory turnover days exceed 60 days, the tiered fee will be charged based on the health of the cargo owner.

 

Amazon and Affirm launch "buy now, pay later" installment payment service

 

Amazon announced that it will work with payment company Affirm to provide online shoppers with a buy now, pay later option for the first time that does not involve a credit card. Through this service, Amazon customers can split the price of goods over $ 50 into monthly payments and know the total cost of the transaction in advance. In addition, Affirm said that there will be no late payment fees. Currently, the two companies are testing the service with a group of customers and will make it more widely available in the coming months.

 

Shopee releases update on logistics claims process

 

Shopee platform has issued a notice on the update of the logistics claims process. The application conditions for package loss are : 1. Southeast Asia and Taiwan sites . After the goods are shipped from the SLS transshipment warehouse, there is no update from the last unfinished goods status for more than 30 days (except for the Singapore Economic channel) or the system shows that the package is lost . 2. Brazil or Mexico sites . After the goods are shipped from the SLS transshipment warehouse for 75 working days, there is no update on the completed goods status or the system shows that the package is lost . The processing process for applying for claims in the above situations is that the seller sends the application materials to the customer service. The platform will complete the approval within 14 working days and inform the seller of the approval result. The seller who confirms that he can receive compensation will receive the compensation within 60 working days.

 

Qingdao's cross-border e-commerce imports and exports reached 10.09 billion yuan in the first half of the year, an increase of 751.1%

 

According to Guanhai News, in the first half of this year, Qingdao's cross-border e-commerce imports and exports reached 10.09 billion yuan, an increase of 751.1%.

Qingdao has accelerated the business innovation of the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone and formulated the "Implementation Plan for Qingdao's Cross-border E-commerce Doubling Plan" to achieve full coverage of the six customs clearance modes of cross-border e-commerce. It has carried out services such as supply chain finance and launched cross-border e-commerce insurance products to help companies reduce export risks. According to the data from the Qingdao Commerce Bureau, from the perspective of exports, the advantageous industries have a significant driving effect on Qingdao's cross-border e-commerce exports. The total export value of goods such as clothing, luggage, wigs, toys, stationery, tires, hats, plastic containers, auto parts, agricultural products, and handicrafts accounts for 90% of the total export scale ; from the perspective of imports, Qingdao's main imported goods are beauty products, milk powder, maternal and child products, and health products, accounting for about 95% of the total import scale.

 

Foshan announces cross-border e-commerce support policy , with maximum subsidies of up to 10 million yuan

 

The Foshan Municipal Bureau of Commerce has issued the "Several Measures for Promoting High-quality Development of Foreign Trade in Foshan (Draft for Comments)". It clearly states that it is necessary to support the construction of supporting facilities for cross-border e-commerce, increase the introduction and cultivation of cross-border e-commerce enterprises, optimize the development environment of cross-border e-commerce, and enhance the risk resistance of foreign trade enterprises. For eligible cross-border e-commerce enterprises, support for cross-border e-commerce business service fees will be provided at the rate of 2 cents per US dollar; for key cross-border e-commerce platform enterprises, support of no less than 10 million yuan will be provided during the validity period of this measure (until the end of 2023).

 

Amazon launches CSBA customer service

 

Customer Service by Amazon ( CSBA) is a paid service of Amazon that has recently started a trial . Amazon will provide customer service for sellers ' self-delivery orders on their behalf , and will forward customer inquiries about these orders to Amazon Customer Service so that sellers do not have to handle them themselves. Currently, CSBA is only available to select sellers on an invitation basis. When joining CSBA for the first time, sellers have a 30-day free trial . After the free trial, Amazon will charge sellers a CSBA fee for each self-delivered item based on their customer service performance . In addition, sellers can choose to opt out of CSBA at any time .
