"Cross-border goods under the traditional bonded warehouse model are often shipped nationwide from one warehouse, and consumers who are far away from the bonded warehouse cannot enjoy next-day delivery of imported goods." A relevant person in charge of Tmall International introduced that Tmall International has enabled the use of an intelligent warehouse network. Based on the characteristics of merchants' goods and consumption data analysis, it provides cross-border merchants with intelligent warehouse network planning, and stores goods in the forward warehouses in the corresponding areas in advance to ensure that goods are shipped nearby and delivered the next day after consumers place an order.
At present, the first batch of forward warehouses are located in five core cities in East China, South China, Central China, and North China . After the allocation, the next-day delivery rate of goods in the corresponding regions can be increased by up to 90%. Consumers can identify such goods through the "next-day delivery" label on the product page.
It is understood that this is the first intelligent distribution warehouse network in the country that is built without increasing the logistics costs of merchants.
