According to foreign media reports, Allegro , Poland's largest e-commerce platform, achieved revenue of 300 million zlotys in the second quarter , equivalent to about 500 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of nearly 60%. Compared with 270 million zlotys in the first quarter, sales also increased by 7%.
The total sales volume reached 10.4 billion zlotys, an increase of more than 10% year-on-year, setting a historical high in recent quarters.
Since July this year , Poland has tightened its entry policy and increased control due to the impact of the epidemic. People have been staying at home for a long time, which has brought new growth to the sales of cross-border e-commerce platforms. This has also played a big role in Allegro's sales growth in the second quarter. But before that, the development of Polish e-commerce has not made many breakthroughs.
In addition, unlike the current platform subscription trend in the UK, the platform's subscription plan contributed 28% of the revenue growth in the quarter , or about 1.3 billion zlotys, while according to previous surveys, British consumers have a lower willingness to subscribe to platforms.
Allegro was founded in 1999 and listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2010. Its overall performance has been relatively stable and it is very popular in the local market. Allegro was originally an auction website. With the continuous growth of users, it has gradually become one of the few online trading platforms in the European market.
In addition to Allegro , there are several e-commerce platforms in Poland, including Zappka, Payback PL, Rossmann, and Mediaexpert. Allegro has always ranked first and its development momentum has been strong.
The latest data also shows that although the number of visits to Amazon Poland has surged after its launch, it is still far lower than the number of visits to Allegro's platform.
Allegro 's huge potential has also attracted the attention of many sellers. Many people believe that its influence in the Polish and European markets is no less than that of Amazon, eBay and other platforms. However, Chinese sellers still focus on more familiar markets such as the UK and France.
Without sellers' attention, the growth rate of the Polish market has quietly reached 42%. This data must be unexpected for sellers.
In addition to popular European markets such as France, the United Kingdom, and Germany, other European countries are also worth paying attention to. Sellers targeting the Polish market can use this as a reference. Poland Europe Allegro |
