Publicly selling free guidebooks? American professional team hurts Chinese sellers

Recently, a post-90s Chinese man was arrested for taking advantage of loopholes on e-commerce platforms to make a profit of 450,000 yuan, which became a hot topic and sparked heated discussions. Domestic e-commerce platforms taking advantage of loopholes are not uncommon, but recently a large number of sellers have reported that they have also encountered "taking advantage of loopholes" abroad, and have been "taken advantage of" by foreigners!

Recently, a seller complained that he had recently been caught up in a "refund wave", and the refund was the kind that did not return the goods! 90% of the return orders were in a state where they could not be returned after the direct refund. In short, they were "taken for free" by foreigners.

This has caused a lot of controversy, with many sellers saying that they have also lost both money and goods! Some sellers even said that, apart from the return wave after Prime Day, they have already received hundreds of orders for free from the end of June to now. If this continues, they will disband their team as soon as possible!

According to the Wall Street Journal, there are a large number of professional teams behind many of the refunds without returns on the Amazon platform today.

When ordinary foreign consumers place an order on Amazon, they only need to contact these teams and pay a certain percentage of the amount to get a full refund and keep the product, which can be said to be a win-win situation!

When faced with products priced below $500, most sellers will choose to refund. When faced with a situation where refunds are not accepted, most sellers can only feel pain in their hearts.

"These professional fraud teams will study the return policies of individual sellers to find out the flaws, and then verify the flaws through repeated experiments. Sometimes they even hire internal staff who used to work in the customer service department of a store!" said Carice Hendrix, founder of Chargelytics Consulting, a US fraud prevention company.

In addition, some people in foreign countries even sell e-commerce freeloading guides, which provide consumers with guidance on how to commit freeloading fraud.

With the rise of e-commerce, such fraud incidents have gradually increased. As far as Amazon is concerned at this stage, the certification of non-delivery is not strict, and Amazon's robots cannot completely identify the authenticity of buyers' return information, which is very disadvantageous to sellers!

What's more, Amazon, which puts consumers first, has repeatedly favored consumers in its new return policies. The result is that under the malicious operations of criminals, sellers can only hold the bottom line and be cut at a loss again and again.
