New EU product safety regulations come into effect today
On July 16, the new EU product safety regulations officially came into effect today. From today, sellers selling products on Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, and Wish platforms, if they want to sell products to the EU market, or sell specific types of products in the EU market (including toys, electronic products, personal protective equipment, cosmetics, medical devices and all other products that fall under the CE category), must have a designated responsible person in the EU market. Otherwise, it will be considered illegal and will face penalties such as warehousing ban, compensation, listing removal, and account suspension.
FedEx launches freight route from Beijing to the United States
On July 16, FedEx announced that it has added a new international cargo route from Beijing, China to Anchorage, the United States, which stops in Osaka, Japan, and connects to the FedEx Super Transit Center in Memphis, the United States. The route operates from Monday to Saturday, with 12 flights in and out of Beijing per week. It is reported that FedEx will currently operate more than 300 international flights per week in China.
Ozon's sales surge 800% in first half of the year
According to sales data released by Russian e-commerce company Ozon, sales of smart home products in Russia in the first half of this year increased eightfold compared with the same period in 2020. At the same time, the number of sellers selling smart devices on Ozon also increased 2.5 times compared with the same period last year. Garment factory export orders surge
