Amazon third-party brand company Unybrands receives $300 million in financing

Following Elevate Brands’ $250 million raise, another Amazon third-party brand company, Unybrands, announced a $300 million financing. Unybrands ’ financing party, Crayhill, is a private credit management company based in New York and is now registered as an investment advisor with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Unybrands was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Miami. It mainly provides e-commerce services such as FBA, Shopify DTC, and WMT for Amazon. It has extensive experience in online retail, consumer products, and mergers and acquisitions . In February of this year , the company has obtained $25 million in seed round funding and has successively achieved a number of acquisitions in Europe and the United States, and is expected to exceed the target set for this year. Like other third parties, Unybrands attempts to integrate high-quality resources by acquiring small third-party companies, expand the company's scale, retain its place in the market competition, and even become a leader.

Although this round of financing seems normal, the recent news about financing or acquisitions all reveal the atmosphere of fierce competition. With the continuous influx of capital in the current market, this competition will continue to expand, and it is reasonable to eventually form a situation of "a few companies dominating". It is reported that Amazon currently has more than 50 third-party acquisition companies.

As many third-party companies continue to raise funds for acquisitions, Unybrands ' acquisition this time can be said to have taken advantage of the situation and accelerated the expansion of its own blueprint. Many people believe that it is not just Unybrands , but other companies of this type will have more ambitions than this. It is really exciting to see who will eventually create a large-scale "Unilever" localized in Amazon in the competition for acquisition financing.

It is reported that Amazon's acquisition of third-party brands started in April this year, and it shows no sign of abating at present. Some third-party brand companies that started financing in April, such as Berlin Brands Group, Elevate Brands, and Thrasio, received financing and raised funds of US$240 million, US$12.5 million, and US$100 million respectively.
