Black Friday new changes: Overseas stores and online websites are offering discounts on Tmall Global

This year's "Black Friday", domestic cross-border e-commerce has become an important battlefield for overseas retail stores and brands. The reporter learned from Tmall International that nearly 100 retail stores are offering discounts on Tmall International, with the same prices as overseas physical stores . Among them are physical retail stores affected by the overseas epidemic, as well as online shopping platforms . In order to increase the Black Friday carnival, Tmall International launched a cross-store discount of 30 yuan for every 300 yuan spent on some imported goods based on the overseas discount price .

It is understood that nearly 100 overseas retail stores, including the American trendy collection store Urban Outfitters, Australia's largest drugstore chain CW, Germany's largest supermarket Metro, Finland's supermarket Kesko, Japan's well-known second-hand store Daikokuya, Matsumoto Kiyoshi and other beauty collection stores, are offering discounts of up to 70% off on Tmall International.

In order to adapt to the shopping habits of Chinese consumers, overseas online shopping websites are also actively embracing domestic e-commerce. Farfetch, a luxury fashion shopping platform , entered Tmall International this year and participated in Black Friday for the first time, offering an additional 20% discount on 100,000 overseas fashion products on top of the end-of-season discounts; Japanese comprehensive shopping website Rakuten , Japanese online second-hand luxury store RECLO, and American trendy shopping website HBX all put on the "Black Friday" logo.

As the second-hand economy is booming, Japanese second-hand stores attach great importance to the "Black Friday" in the Chinese market . The president of RECLO personally came to the live broadcast room to promote the products, and more than 2,000 items in the store enjoyed Black Friday discounts; Daheiwu's overseas physical stores have linked their inventory, and Chinese consumers can choose products from any store on Tmall; the online second-hand luxury store Brandear selects more than 5,000 popular LV models, exclusively for Tmall.

In addition, on Black Friday, Tmall International's official live broadcast room also launched the "Cloud Shopping Overseas Stores, Online Black Friday Same Price", in which you can visit French niche fragrance stores, Japanese second-hand store BRANDOFF, and New Zealand solid care brand Ethique stores to buy top overseas products.

Due to the epidemic and the impact on the physical retail industry, Black Friday this year continued to be cold in Europe and the United States, which accelerated the overseas retail to embrace Chinese e-commerce; at the same time, with the rapid improvement of domestic cross-border e-commerce in recent years, overseas shopping has gone from a complex experience that required tutorials to a popular experience. In the past, on Black Friday, consumers had to open dual-currency credit cards, register on foreign overseas shopping websites, and then find a forwarding company to choose a transportation mode. The process was cumbersome. Now on Tmall International, it is very convenient to buy imported goods.

It is reported that Tmall International has currently gathered more than 29,000 overseas brands from 87 countries and regions around the world , covering more than 5,800 categories, of which more than 80% of the brands are entering China for the first time.
