Albertsons partners with Google to boost digital sales

Albertsons , a leading grocery group in the United States, is working with Google to develop omnichannel services and has launched new features, including the integration of Google Search and Maps, AI-driven conversational commerce, payment methods with Google Pay, and the creation of predictive grocery lists, mainly to improve consumers' shopping experience.

 

It is reported that Albertsons has established a multi-year partnership with Google. The two companies, which have been working behind the scenes for the past year, will provide a wide range of technologies and services to customers. Customers like Albertsons can get useful information about online ordering from multiple stores in mobile search, making it easier for customers to place orders online for offline pickup or delivery. Of course, customers can also store directly in mobile search. This feature will be available in Google Maps later this year.

 

In addition, Albertsons is combining its customer-facing products with Google Search and Maps to help shoppers make shopping easier. Consumers can use Google Pay to shop, and Google Cloud artificial intelligence (AI) technologies such as Vision AI, Recommendations AI and Business Messages are infused into its business to create a highly predictive grocery engine.
