Embracing multiple skin colors, Amazon and other platforms sell racially diverse bandages

Recently, some major retailers, such as Amazon, Target and Shoprite, are selling Johnson & Johnson's latest series of bandages. It is worth noting that the purpose of these bandages is to better blend with various skin colors.

In 2020, amid widespread protests across the United States, where racial discrimination has been accused , Johnson & Johnson promised in a post on Instagram that it would release a range of light, medium and dark bandages to meet the needs of multiple races. The brand also said in the Instagram post: "We stand in solidarity with our Black colleagues, collaborators and communities in the fight against racism, violence and injustice."

It is reported that this Band-Aid that embraces the beauty of various skin colors was launched by Johnson & Johnson in March this year and is named OURTONE. This product is the product of cooperation with creative agencies of black-dominated culture. Its design is more inclusive and diverse, and is very popular among consumers.

This bandage from OURTONE costs about $15 and is made of Memory Weave fabric. It is mainly used for first aid of minor injuries and cuts. It can last up to 24 hours after use and can prevent wounds from being infected with dirt and bacteria. Unlike ordinary band-aids, this band-aid has three main colors, including light (BR45), medium (BR55) and dark (BR65), to adapt to different skin colors and meet the needs of people with different skin colors.

Some consumers also expressed their own experience:

Cheers, I finally found a Band-Aid that suits me.

This band-aid is too friendly to dark-skinned people.

It’s so convenient that you can choose Band-Aids according to your skin color.

It's so friendly to embrace a variety of skin colors.

Back in 2005, the company introduced Perfect Blend Band-Aids, designed to blend with a variety of skin tones. The brand has also been using Brand Clear Strips Band-Aids since the 1950s, which the company said has been used by many consumers.

Consumers around the world are one big family, and it is particularly important to produce products suitable for all skin colors. In order to open up more markets and gain more support from consumers, sellers must insist on embracing global consumers and starting from the perspective of consumers.
