Commissions as high as 32%, Etsy sellers: "I quit!"

It is reported that Etsy sellers paid 32% commission to Etsy UK in a recent transaction , and paid 40 pounds commission for an order of 125 pounds. This is an unbearable expense for sellers.

According to sellers, this is in addition to Etsy's regular fees (including shipping) and payment processing fees, plus an additional 15% Etsy offline advertising fee.

Unbelievably, there is nothing special about paying Etsy a huge fee on a transaction due to the “off-site advertising” program . What makes it hard for sellers is that they never know when they will be charged an extra 15% “off-site advertising” fee.

Etsy has not responded to this, but according to some previous news, sellers speculated that if the platform did not have offline advertising, sellers would not have any sales .
