FBA limited inventory has been updated again!
Since the beginning of last year, sellers have been troubled by FBA inventory restrictions. Although Amazon has relaxed them several times since then, it still cannot meet the needs of most sellers.
This year, just as we were immersed in the Spring Festival holiday, FBA once again relaxed its inventory restrictions. Now, only one month later, Amazon FBA has made new moves.
Now, while Amazon is relaxing inventory restrictions on various sites, another site has tightened the restrictions on shipping quantities, and sellers are suffering ...
Tighten! Canada station can only ship 2 months of sales
On Friday, some sellers discovered that Amazon Canada had released an announcement regarding inventory changes, with the following highlights:
Amazon Canada has tightened its inventory capacity. Starting March 4, 2021, sellers who have sold products through Amazon Logistics for at least 9 months will need to comply with inventory storage limits. The limit quantity is based on the seller's performance and will be updated regularly. Sellers can view the current limit and storage usage in the "Loan Processing Progress".
In addition, Amazon has relaxed the replenishment quantity restrictions at the ASIN level. Most products have enough storage space to cope with about 2 months of sales.
At the beginning of this year, most of Amazon's sites have significantly relaxed their inventory. Now Amazon has issued a notice and stated that it will tighten inventory restrictions on the Canadian site. Because now the Canadian site is not limiting a single ASIN, but the total inventory limit, which means that once the total number of pieces is exceeded, it cannot be shipped.
For sellers on the Canadian site, it was a surprise. ↓↓
"When the limit was 200, there were very few complaints. When the limit was 75, there were even fewer complaints. Now we just limit it by the total number, so we don't have to post any. It's so funny." "The number of units that can be shipped has always been 75. Now the maximum inventory of one of my products in Canada is still 75..."
In addition, the inventory change announcement of the Canadian site also stated that in order to help sellers avoid storage fees for slow-moving goods and provide space for best-selling inventory, Amazon will provide free removal services for a limited time starting March 9. During the promotion period, Amazon will waive all removal order fees for inventory in the Canadian center. After the promotion ends, the system will automatically remove inventory that is more than 15 months old.
In addition to the changes in inventory restrictions on the Canadian site, sellers on Amazon's other sites have stated that inventory restrictions have been significantly relaxed, with the inventory level of new products at around 3,000, and sites like the Japanese site have recently relaxed warehousing restrictions again.
Amazon Japan continues to relax warehousing restrictions
From only being able to sell FBA inventory for 2 months to now being able to sell for 9 months, the inventory restrictions on Amazon FBA Japan have been relaxed again.
For sellers, the inventory restrictions last year have always been a big problem. Now Amazon Japan has issued an announcement that Amazon Logistics is gradually relaxing the restrictions to allow sellers to store more inventory. The number of items that sellers can ship is 9.5 months of inventory.
Previously, in January, Amazon relaxed its warehouse entry restrictions three times more than when they were first implemented, allowing sellers to warehouse at least 4.5 months of inventory.
Amazon officials have stated that the warehousing restrictions will be gradually lifted in the future. Sellers who have not yet lifted the limit on quantity can continue to pay attention. 80% of the products were removed from the shelves. This word was also judged to be a pesticide?
Sometimes sudden inspiration may not necessarily be a good thing.
A few days ago, a seller suddenly wanted to enrich his listing, so he added a product usage plan in it, but the result was tragic - the listing became a mess.
According to an email Amazon sent to him, this product has been determined to be a pesticide product, pesticide device, or product containing a pesticide claim. To be considered for reinstatement of this product, please provide an EPA registration number and/or EPA factory number or certification that the relevant product is exempt from EPA regulations. Sellers need to provide this information in the "Pesticide Mark" attribute of the product.
The seller speculated that it was most likely because the word "antibacterial" was used in the product usage plan , which led to the listing being removed from the shelves for containing sensitive words such as pesticides.
Amazon sellers all know that Amazon has strict regulations on the sale of pesticides, and only allows North American sellers to sell them. Amazon would rather kill other sellers by mistake than let them go. As a result, sellers’ listings are often misidentified as pesticides and are removed from the shelves. Amazon even conducts a "clean-up" from time to time, and in serious cases, it may involve multiple categories.
Amazon has taken action again recently. In addition to the above sellers, many sellers have complained recently that their listings were misclassified as pesticides due to sensitive words:
"——Seventy to eighty percent of my products were misclassified as pesticides . I checked with customer service and found no sensitive words, but they were deleted again the next day ... How long did it take for you to restore them? The answer I got was two to five days... So I can take a few days off." "——Yesterday, several products were also identified as pesticides and could not be edited. I used the template to update the title, five bullet points, and keywords, but there was no update on the front desk. I contacted customer service and they said it was removed from the shelves and could not be updated." “——The product was marked as an insecticide, and the selling points and A+ included words like anti-mite and anti-dust. Now the backend shows that the details page has been deleted, and there is no way to edit the description and A+.” "——I also spent a week here."
It is worth noting that a few days ago, a seller mentioned his experience and asked: "If the words such as sunscreen, anti-fading and anti-insect are added to the title, pictures or copy , will it be judged as a pesticide ? " "I saw that some new products launched this year also included these words, but they were not judged as pesticides. Why was it immediately judged as a pesticide and removed from the shelves as soon as I posted the link?"
Seeing this, I believe many sellers have already lamented that Amazon is really hard to figure out. However, regarding sensitive words, the editor has compiled a part of them, which sellers can refer to for reference: Sterilize Healthy Imported antifungal Nontoxic Waterproof Sanitize-Blight With Nicotine High Quality Anti-fouling New Arrival Anti-Bacteria Anti-Mites CE Certified CE New Original Bright color Most beautiful Flame retardancy Not easy to fade FDA Certified Satisfaction Guarantee Extended Service Warranties Money-back Guarantees 100% Money Refund 100% Money Refund Material: High-quality PVC Environmental Protection
For sellers, it is relatively easy to deal with products that are identified as pesticides. All they need to do is refresh the template patiently and the products will usually be back on sale. Therefore, when encountering such problems, sellers do not need to rush to delete the listing. FBA Inventory Limits Amazon Amazon Japan Amazon Canada |
