Staying up late and not sleeping is almost a standard feature of the lives of contemporary Chinese young people. However, our neighboring country South Korea is not "admitting defeat" in staying up late at all , and its severity is far greater than that of China.
According to the OECD, South Koreans sleep an average of 7 hours and 51 minutes, the lowest among OECD member countries and 31 minutes less than the average (8 hours and 22 minutes).
The average sleep duration in the United States is 8 hours and 48 minutes, in Canada it is 8 hours and 40 minutes, and in France it is 8 hours and 33 minutes.
In addition to the length of sleep , "sleep quality" is also an important factor affecting sleep . Unfortunately, facing the huge pressure of life and work, Koreans' sleep quality is not high.
Philips conducted a global sleep trend survey on 13,000 people in 13 countries, including 999 Koreans, and announced the results of the survey. The survey results showed that 55% of the respondents in 13 countries around the world were satisfied with their sleep, while only 41% of the respondents in Korea were satisfied with their sleep.
The phenomenon of staying up late and sleeping late is not only found among Korean adults, but has now become "younger" and is developing among Korean students. According to Korean media reports, more than 40% of Korean high school students sleep less than 6 hours a day, mainly due to academic pressure and addiction to the Internet.
In South Korea today, 27% of people suffer from insomnia, 24% snore and 8% suffer from sleep apnea.
The shorter the sleep time, the shorter the life span . Therefore, facing the problem of insufficient sleep, more and more Koreans have developed a strong interest in sleep health. For example, they strengthen physical exercise and take health food. At the same time, various products that promote sleep are also popular among Koreans.
But at the end of the day, developing regular sleep habits is a simple and important way to stay healthy amidst our busy daily lives. South Korea Sleep Products Insomnia |
