1. Non-Muslims have strong purchasing power
Shopback 's survey found that Muslims are indeed the main consumer group during Ramadan, but non-Muslim groups are equally interested in online shopping. 97.7% of respondents said they are looking forward to the Ramadan promotions launched by various platforms.
2. Online shopping time period
In the survey, 37% of respondents said they would browse e-commerce platforms between midnight and 5 a.m. , and 51.1% of respondents said they were accustomed to browsing platform products in the evening .
Sellers should pay special attention. The survey shows that 19.8% of respondents will start shopping about four weeks before Iftar, 29.2% of respondents said they will shop three weeks before Iftar, and nearly half of the respondents (about 41.6%) said they will shop in the first two weeks.
3. Among the popular categories, clothing is the most popular
According to the survey, electronic products, home appliances, necessities, food and beverages are all hot-selling categories during Ramadan, among which clothing is the most popular among consumers .
Among the many clothing products, the sales volume of robes, headscarves and men's shirts is very considerable, among which footwear products have the highest sales volume.
4. Online shopping expenditure
In general, consumers' purchasing power is very strong during Ramadan, but there are significant differences in their planned spending. In the survey, 64.4% of respondents planned to spend 500,000 rupiah and 34.4% planned to spend 5,000,000 rupiah.
