Terrible! FBA has issued another major new regulation, and Amazon will also shut down an important function...

Amazon’s policies change every day, sniping sellers in all aspects from opening stores, shipping to obtaining reviews.

Recently, a seller revealed that Amazon will cancel the early reviewer program, which means that sellers will have one less way to get reviews.

Video verification has been rampant recently, and purchased accounts have suffered a lot. What's even more frightening is that there are rumors that Amazon accounts will undergo full video verification starting from March. The investment manager responded to this statement.

In addition, Amazon issued three latest announcements in a row. Sellers in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands markets will not be able to ship if they do not provide these fields ; starting from March 19, 2021, Amazon will add a new "unsuitable inventory survey" program policy , at which time counterfeit brand products may be discarded; in addition, a large number of self-delivery orders have been delayed , and Amazon has given the latest explanation.

Amazon to cancel early reviewer program

The editor learned that four Amazon sites , including the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and India, are about to cancel the early reviewer program , which means that sellers on these four sites will have one less reasonable and legal way to get reviews.

From the customer service's reply to the seller, it can be learned that Amazon will send an email to sellers to inform them that it will no longer allow new registrations for the Early Reviewer Program from March 5, 2021, and will stop providing this service to sellers currently registered for the program on April 20, 2021 .

For enrolled listings posted after this date, they will not have to pay any review fees, and if the program does not generate any reviews for their business, there will be no service fee. Amazon will refund the program fees within three months of the program closure date for any enrolled listings with more than 1 review that are not completed before April 20.

It is understood that the Early Reviewer Program (ERP) is a program that encourages buyers who have purchased a product to share their real experience through reviews. After the news of the closure of the Early Reviewer Program came out, many small sellers said that this was a critical blow to niche products.

One seller said that early reviewers are a safe and efficient way for sellers who abide by the rules and do not fake orders to obtain reviews. It is also very useful for new products with potential but no reviews .

Now that there is one less official review channel, sellers can only find other reasonable ways to obtain reviews.

Amazon accounts will be fully verified by video from March ? The business manager responded

While some sellers are still worrying about getting reviews, a large number of sellers are struggling to keep their accounts.

Recently, Amazon has started a new round of sweeping accounts. Under the test of video verification, those purchased accounts have suffered one after another.

One of the victims said that all of his 60 accounts were shut down in this round of sweeping. Rumors spread as the crackdown progressed. In February, the editor heard that starting from March, even the investment manager channel would gradually require video review + postcard verification . Sellers with inauthentic and incomplete information were trembling with fear.

Regarding this statement, the editor also verified it with an Amazon merchant manager. A Japanese merchant manager said that currently, the links under the merchant manager do not require video verification, but self-registration does. Interpreting the merchant manager's words, it can be seen that Amazon has not yet fully implemented video verification, and no one knows what will happen in the future.

In addition to the recent news that Amazon's early reviewer program will be shut down and that comprehensive video verification will be carried out starting in March, Amazon has also issued several announcements, the contents of which are also closely related to sellers.

Amazon updates its policy on investigating illegal inventory , and these sellers are in trouble

Amazon has always been committed to providing buyers with a good shopping experience, so the platform has also spent a lot of money to combat counterfeit and shoddy products. It is becoming increasingly difficult for sellers to sell counterfeit goods on Amazon ...

Yien.com learned that Amazon issued an announcement today. The content of the announcement is as follows

Starting March 19, 2021 , we will add a new Unsuitable Inventory Investigation program policy under which we may request additional information about the affected FBA inventory if we suspect a selling partner is selling counterfeit or other illegal goods on Amazon.

If you don't provide the requested information, or if our investigation finds that the inventory is unsuitable, we may dispose of it.

The “inappropriate products” mentioned by Amazon in the announcement refer to counterfeit and illegal goods. After the implementation of this policy, if sellers are found by Amazon to be selling counterfeit goods, their products in FBA will be abandoned.

Therefore, I advise sellers not to sell counterfeit goods on Amazon. Once discovered, the loss will be huge ...

Starting from April 15, if you do not provide this information, you will not be able to ship.

Yien.com learned that Amazon UK recently released an announcement titled "Starting from April 15, 2021, we will only accept delivery confirmations containing CarrierCode and ShippingMethod". The following is the detailed announcement content↓

Sellers are now required to provide a carrier name when confirming a shipment through the Manage Orders page in Seller Central . We are making the following changes to the shipment confirmation process:

Starting April 5, 2021, sellers must provide the CarrierCode (carrier name) and ShippingMethod (carrier code) fields when confirming shipments through bulk upload data, API, or integrators.

After April 15, 2021, sellers who do not provide this information will not be able to confirm shipments, which may result in an increase in Late Shipment Rates (LSRs) and an increase in automatic order cancellations.

The announcement stated that this policy applies to the UK , France , Germany , Italy , Spain and the Netherlands markets , and sellers in relevant markets should pay attention.

Sellers’ orders are abnormal, Amazon issued a statement

Yien.com learned that yesterday, a large number of Amazon sellers said that their orders were not updated. Many people thought that it was because of a sharp drop in their order volume, but in fact it was a malfunction of Amazon's backend.

One seller said: “I opened the backend and found that there were zero orders in the past three days. This is very abnormal. I usually receive at least 2 orders a day, sometimes more.”

Amazon also discovered this problem in time and issued an announcement yesterday saying that this problem prevented some sellers from seeing the orders they fulfilled in the Seller Center . We ask you to visit "Manage Orders" to start fulfilling orders that were previously displayed as "pending" . Please fulfill these orders instead of canceling them.

We will reverse the late shipment defect for all affected orders so that it does not affect your account health.

Amazon has launched a wave of new policies and announcements. Sellers need to pay close attention to and understand them in a timely manner and adjust their operational thinking. Sellers should also pay attention to their orders and logistics status in real time and communicate well with buyers.
