  • Founded by Ms. Wang Shutong in 2004, DHgate.com is China’s leading B2B cross-border e-commerce online transaction service platform;

It focuses on the small B2B track and provides "store operation, traffic marketing, warehousing and logistics, payment finance, customer service risk control, customs inspection and taxation, business training" and other full-link empowerment for small and medium-sized enterprises in the cross-border e-commerce industry chain, helping Chinese manufacturing to connect with global procurement and achieve "buy globally, sell globally";

  • DHgate.com is one of the third-party e-commerce platforms for foreign trade in China recommended by the Ministry of Commerce, the "National Engineering Laboratory for Cross-border E-commerce Transaction Technology" of the National Development and Reform Commission, the application demonstration unit of the standard formulation project "E-commerce Transaction Risk Control and Prevention" of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the "National E-commerce Index Monitoring Key Contact Enterprise" of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.   • In 2020, Dunhuang.com launched the cross-border e-commerce SaaS platform MyyShop, initiated a new decentralized ecological strategy, and entered the era of dual-engine drive of the centralized scene DHgate and the decentralized scene MyyShop.


Store opening process and requirements

1. Navigate to the DHgate seller homepage and click "Easy Registration" to enter the registration page;


2. Follow the page prompts and fill in the real registration information. See the figure below:


3. After submitting the information, you will receive an activation email to your registered email address. Please log in to your registered email address, open the email, and click the activation link.

4. Information required for certification application:

(1) Individual sellers : A photo of the Dhgate contact holding the front and back of his ID card;

(2) Mainland enterprises:

·Company Name;

·Corporate legal person;

Business license number;

·Photo of a copy of the business license;

·Photo of the legal person holding the front and back of his/her ID card;

·Photo of the Dhgate contact holding the front and back of his/her ID card;

·Pictures with the company’s address and name.

(3) Hong Kong Enterprises:

·Company Name;

Name of the director;

Company number;

Certificate of company registration;

Page 4 of the Hong Kong Companies Registry's Incorporation Form;

·Photo of the director holding the front and back of his ID card;

·Photo of the Dhgate contact holding the front and back of his/her ID card;

·Pictures with the company’s address and name.

(4) Requirements for application materials:

①Business license number: The business license number refers to the registration number of the business license, not the business license number;

②Photo of a copy of the business license: The original or copy of the business license with the annual inspection stamp must be provided. The business license photo must have the registration number, company name, legal person, business scope and annual inspection stamp clearly identifiable, without any traces of modification, obstruction, smearing, PS or stains;

③Photo of the legal person holding the ID card (front and back): Please provide the ID card photo of the legal person registered on the business license. It must be a head shot holding the ID card, and one front and one back of the ID card are required. The ID card information must be clear and legible, without any traces of modification, obstruction, smearing, PS or stains;

④ Contact person holding ID photo (front and back): Please provide ID photo of the existing contact person on DHgate. It must be a head shot holding the ID, and one front and one back of the ID card are required. The ID card information must be clear and legible, without any traces of modification, obstruction, smearing, PS or stains;

⑤ Pictures with the trading company's doorplate and company name: Please provide this picture if you are a physical foreign trade company or factory. You must provide a picture of your company's door or front desk with the company name. If this is not possible, please be sure to provide a picture of you holding your business license in the office. You cannot steal pictures from other companies, and there must be no traces of modification, obstruction, smearing, PS or stains.

⑥Wholly foreign-owned enterprises: Domestic enterprises with the legal person’s domicile in Taiwan or overseas countries and regions. Please also provide the legal person’s entry document and business license for identity verification.

(5) Notes on identity authentication:

①Only one photo is allowed to be uploaded for each document; the file size is 2M; the upload format is jpg, gif, jpeg, png, bmp;

② All documents need to be scanned copies of the original color documents or digital photos;

③If your ID card is lost, please submit the personal information page of your passport;

④ Personal seller identity authentication Dunhuang.com will complete the review within 3 working days after the seller submits the authentication application; the review time for mainland and Hong Kong enterprises is slightly longer, please be patient;

⑤The associated accounts will be jointly authenticated or jointly deauthenticated.

In 2009, Dunhuang.com's transaction volume exceeded RMB 2.5 billion.

In 2010, Dunhuang.com's annual transaction volume exceeded RMB 6 billion, with more than 3 million registered buyers in 224 countries and regions, more than 900,000 registered sellers, and more than 25 million online products.

In 2013, mobile visits accounted for one-third of the Dunhuang platform.

At present, DHgate has achieved the scale of more than 1.4 million domestic suppliers online, 40 million kinds of goods, covering 230 countries and regions around the world, and 10 million buyers online. 100,000 buyers purchase online in real time every hour, and an order is generated every 1.6 seconds.


Development History

-In 2004, Ms. Wang Shutong, the founder and first CEO of Joyo.com, founded DHgate.com;

-In 2005, Dunhuang.com B2B online trading platform was officially launched, and the first order on the platform was completed;

-In 2006, the company obtained its first round of financing;

- In April 2006, the single transaction amount exceeded 10,000 US dollars;

-In 2007, it became PayPal's largest customer in the Asia-Pacific region and the sixth largest customer in the world; an important strategic partner of Google in the Chinese market, with both parties jointly committed to promoting Chinese SMEs to the world; and an important strategic partner of eBay in the Chinese market.

-In August 2008, DHgate 2.0 was launched;

- In December 2008, DHgate.com was selected as one of the top 50 high-tech, high-growth companies by Deloitte, ranking seventh;

-In 2009, we became a business partner with UPS and embedded UPS services into the Dunhuang.com platform; Ranked 13th in Deloitte's 2009 Asia Pacific High-Tech Fast 500; Ranked 5th in Deloitte's China High-Growth Enterprises 500;

-In 2010, the Dunhuang Power Camp was launched, which cultivated and incubated more than 200,000 online merchants; nearly RMB 200 million of investment from Warburg Pincus was obtained; the DHpay cross-border payment platform was launched and successfully received the first payment of $40.17 from the United States; and the "CCB Dunhuang e-Insurance" online micro-loan service was launched in cooperation with China Construction Bank;

-In 2011, the new Dunhuang One-Stop service was launched simultaneously in Beijing, Shenzhen and Hangzhou;

- In 2012, DHgate.com was selected as one of the “Top 100 New Enterprises in Zhongguancun”; DHgate.com was awarded the PayPal “Blue Chip Award”.
