CrowdTangle is a tool that publishers can use to track content published on the Internet in real time. CrowdTangle can track content across many platforms, including Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, and YouTube. Global publishers such as BuzzFeed, CNN, ESPN and other large media companies and brands use CrowdTangle to find important content, evaluate the social performance of this content and identify influential people or things. CrowdTangle was founded in 2012 and acquired by Facebook in 2016. CrowdTangle Core Products 1. CrowdTangle Search Search helps users find and discover content across social media. Users can search for keywords, hashtags, or URLs and filter by social platform, country, language, post type, time frame, and more. Search will also look at any text on images, making it possible to search for memes. It also provides visualizations showing how keywords have changed over time across Facebook and Instagram. 2. Real-time display Live Shows are live streams of public posts that are filtered to show only the most relevant content around important topics and events. CrowdTangle publishes public Live Shows around major news events, available to anyone, so that organizations can keep track of what’s happening on social platforms. CrowdTangle users can also build their own Live Shows for their teams to use. 3. Intelligent use Intelligence enables users to compare multiple public pages, accounts or subreddits against each other. It is used to help identify performance trends over time through easy to understand graphs and charts. 4. Notification Organizations can set up email and Slack notifications to simplify their social monitoring. They can be alerted instantly when posts from certain accounts go viral, receive weekly emails of the most important posts in a group or page, or receive daily emails of all new posts relevant to their team. 5. Dashboard Each team has a CrowdTangle dashboard. From there, they can create custom lists of public accounts and groups to track. CrowdTangle Link Checker Chrome Extension. Our Chrome extension is available to the public and allows anyone to see all the times a public account has shared that URL, who shared it, and what they said. This is an easy way to get a clearer picture of which accounts are driving conversations around certain articles. |
