Kazpost JSC provides a wide range of postal, financial, brokerage, agency and electronic services; has the largest network of branches in the country, covering almost the entire territory of Kazakhstan, especially at the regional and rural levels; and is responsible for ensuring economic, social and environmental stability by providing services throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Development History
- In 1860, the first post office was opened in Vilnius (Almaty), which was soon transformed into a post and telegraph office;
- In 1883, 14 post offices were affiliated to Kazpost;
-1920; The Post and Telecommunications Department under the Orenburg Kyrgyz Military Committee was reorganized into the Kyrgyz Post and Telecommunications District;
-1925; renamed the Kazakh Regional Department of Communications under the People's Commissariat of Posts and Telecommunications of the USSR, established rural postman positions for the first time in the history of postal development, and introduced a closed postal system to provide postal services to remote villages;
- In 1929, the first postal airline of the Republic of Kazakhstan connected Almaty with Tashkent;
-At the beginning of 1930, there were 1,250 postal and telecommunications enterprises in Kazakhstan, with a postal route length of 42,000 kilometers;
- In 1932, the People's Commissariat of Posts and Telecommunications was renamed the People's Commissariat of Communications under the Council of People's Commissariats of the Kazakh SSR;
- In 1940, the number of telecommunications companies in Kazakhstan reached 1987, and 20,000 km of postal routes were mechanized;
-1946. In March 1946, the powers of the People's Commissariat of Transport of the USSR under the International Criminal Court of the Kazakh SSR were renamed the powers of the Ministry of Transport of the USSR under the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR.
-In 1950, there were 2,438 postal enterprises nationwide (2,083 in rural areas);
-1954, on December 25, 1954, the USSR Ministry of Communications authorized the department to be reorganized into the Ministry of Communications of the Kazakh SSR, and the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications established a single "Communications" division
-1960 In the mid-1960s, there were 4,000 full-service post offices in Kazakhstan.
