The association is a local, industry and non-profit social organization voluntarily formed by Shenzhen cross-border e-commerce enterprises and related service enterprises registered in accordance with the law.

Background of the Association

Shenzhen has the largest import and export port in China, and is also the earliest and most developed city in China for cross-border e-commerce. In 2010, Shenzhen's foreign trade B2C transaction volume exceeded US$1 billion, accounting for 50%-60% of the total foreign trade B2C transaction volume in China. On various third-party foreign trade platforms, the contribution of sellers from Shenzhen accounts for more than 1/3 to 1/2.

China's cross-border e-commerce is becoming a "dark horse" in the foreign trade industry. According to data from the first half of 2013, the average annual growth of cross-border e-commerce will still exceed 30%, and it has become a new growth point for my country's import and export trade. As the cross-border e-commerce industry grows stronger, many companies are actively calling for the establishment of the Shenzhen Cross-border E-commerce Association to quickly establish their own industry self-regulatory organization, strengthen communication between companies and the government, help companies quickly understand national policies, further liberate their minds, optimize industrial upgrading, promote the vigorous development of Shenzhen's cross-border e-commerce industry, and strive to become a national model.

After more than half a year of research and visits, and listening to the strong demands and unanimous voices of the industry. In December 2013, Shenzhen Haimaohui Technology Co., Ltd. initiated and led 52 leading companies in Shenzhen's cross-border e-commerce industry. They jointly submitted a feasibility report on the establishment of the "Shenzhen Cross-border E-commerce Association" to the Shenzhen Civil Affairs Bureau, and then submitted the application materials for preparation. With the strong support of the relevant leaders of the Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, the Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau completed the preliminary review and related approval work in accordance with the prescribed procedures in a very short time. The "Notice of Approval of Preparation for Social Groups" Shenzhen Civil Letter [2014] No. 112 was issued, approving the preparation for the establishment of the Shenzhen Cross-border E-commerce Association.
