Difficult Problems

Ghashim, the founder of ShopGo, said that payment is the main problem they have to overcome. Online payment in the Middle East and North Africa is very complicated, unlike Europe and the United States, where payment tools can be plug-and-play. After registering a company locally, it is very time-consuming and laborious to set up an online account at a bank and then create a payment account. It may take half a year to get it done. This difficulty will make many people give up building their own websites. ShopGo is trying to work with banks to overcome this difficulty. In addition, ShopGo is also conducting research on consumer behavior patterns of COD (cash on delivery), striving to significantly reduce the use of COD within four to five years.
