AliExpress welcomes the first surge of orders in the new year, and Cainiao's cross-border express delivery time in 25 countries is upgraded

As the 328th anniversary promotion of AliExpress approaches, Cainiao has also recently announced the good news of comprehensively upgrading the timeliness and service of international express delivery, announcing a major speed-up in cross-border delivery in 25 countries around the world . New consolidated transport services have been launched for five countries in the Middle East, and local consumers can receive cross - border packages within 7-13 days. In addition, DDP (tax payment logistics service) continues to be "updated" and will be launched in countries such as South Korea, Mexico and Colombia.

Priority and standard upgrades greatly speed up logistics delivery in 25 countries

As the first major promotion of the year for AliExpress , this year's 328th anniversary sale will start at 00:00 on March 18 (according to the local time zone of key countries), and will be preheated one week in advance. To ensure logistics support for the promotion, Cainiao has iteratively upgraded international express products in different directions, achieving full speed-up of priority and standard logistics products in 25 countries of AliExpress, further amplifying the timeliness advantage of products and helping merchants improve consumer satisfaction and purchase conversion rate.

Among them, 12 countries including the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Spain, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United States, and Mexico were the first to enter the list of countries for speeding up priority products, saving an average of 3-7 days in full-link logistics; 13 countries including Canada, Chile, New Zealand, Australia, Bahrain, and Qatar further improved the logistics timeliness of standard products, speeding up the full-link logistics timeliness by 1-6 days.

New consolidation for 5 countries in the Middle East , free shipping for orders above the threshold

In recent years , the Middle East has become one of the hottest regions for cross-border e-commerce. Not long ago, AliExpress officially signed Saudi Arabian football stars Salem Al-Dawsari and Feras Al Brikan as its Middle East spokespersons, which shows the e-commerce platform's determination to invest in the Middle East in the long term.

Faced with the unique geographical location and business environment of the Middle East market, Cainiao and AliExpress have joined forces to create a new consolidated shipping service system that meets local needs. By taking the "double-edged sword" of reducing worry-free consolidated shipping costs and improving fulfillment time, it helps merchants further expand into the Middle East market.

Currently, the logistics upgrade service has been launched in five key countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. Middle Eastern users can receive their parcels within an average of 7-13 days. In addition, the service commitments and logistics rights such as "free shipping for orders above a certain threshold, delivery within X days, and compensation for late delivery" have been introduced, which greatly enhances buyers' shopping confidence and satisfaction.

Tax and fee payment logistics services continue to be updated

The "Delivery Duty Paid" (DDP) service jointly developed and launched by AliExpress and Cainiao will be launched in markets such as South Korea, Mexico, and Colombia. Specifically, consumers with orders of more than US$150 in South Korea and US$50 in Mexico can pay taxes online at checkout, and the orders can be "cleared" before they actually arrive at the destination country, without having to pay additional fees when picking up the goods .

Previously, Cainiao's DDP service has covered Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Brazil, solving the problem of tax uncertainty for overseas consumers in cross-border transactions.

It is understood that as the world's largest cross-border e-commerce logistics company, Cainiao's global smart logistics network covers more than 200 countries and regions. In fiscal year 2023, Cainiao handled more than 1.5 billion cross-border parcels, serving 133 million cross-border consumers and more than 100,000 merchants and brands.
