Another Shenzhen freight forwarder went bankrupt after running away with 37 million yuan?

Another Shenzhen freight forwarder went bankrupt after running away with 37 million yuan?

There have been too many scandals in the cross-border logistics circle, including freight forwarders running away with the money, broken capital chains forcing customers to pay money to redeem the goods, and declaring bankruptcy and changing their identities to continue cheating.

Behind every freight forwarder that has problems, there are a group of sellers who pay for it, so sellers pay special attention to reputation and credibility when choosing a freight forwarder. Recently, there have been rumors in the industry that a freight forwarder boss in Shenzhen ran away with 37 million yuan after falling ill, but the truth behind this is different from the rumors, which also reveals the chaos behind the fierce competition in the logistics industry!

The freight forwarding boss suffered a sudden stroke and was reported to have run away with 37 million yuan.

On January 9, a piece of news went viral in the industry, attracting the attention of many sellers and freight forwarders. The news read: "Today's big news, a US-based company in Xiashiwei ran away with more than 37 million yuan. You ask for a lower price, but they still want the goods and freight. Bosses, please be careful when choosing a freight forwarder that offers prices far below the market price. Who would do a business that loses money ?"

Afterwards, this explosive "news" continued to ferment in the circle of friends and sellers in the industry. Everyone was waiting to see which company had gone bankrupt, and to avoid the freight forwarders who had problems.

As everyone asked, the news was spread by so-called insiders, and someone also "dug out" a bigger melon. Some people said that the name of this freight forwarder was "Tian*", and the boss Peng Qisheng had a stroke some time ago, and later ran away with 37 million yuan, which greatly satisfied the public's desire to eat melons.

With doubts, Yien.com contacted Peng Qisheng himself. Peng Qisheng said that he also saw the rumors in the circle of friends and groups. At first, he only saw a freight forwarder in Xiashiwei absconding with the money. Later, he heard that it was Peng Qisheng who absconded with the money. He was completely stunned. He never expected that he would be the one to be eaten by the melon. Some friends in the industry also contacted him to tell him the news and asked him if he had run away?

Peng Qisheng told Yien.com that many of the rumors were nonsense and that he and his company had nothing to do with these things.

First, the company that was rumored to have run away was in Xiashiwei, while his company was in Lehui Center, Longgang District, Shenzhen;

Second, the company everyone is talking about is Tian *, but his company is Shenzhen Tianyi Huitong Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Tianyi Huitong), which are two different names;

Third, Peng Qisheng’s name suddenly popped up in the rumors, and this name was tied to illness and running away. Would he run away if he was sick?

Peng Qisheng said that at the end of September 2023, he was indeed suddenly ill and hospitalized . His condition was relatively serious. He was hospitalized for a period of time. After returning to Shenzhen in October, he greeted people from the company and the logistics association and explained the situation.

After gradual follow-up treatment, Peng Qisheng is now almost recovered. He has no problem going to work and driving normally. He did not expect that he was rumored to have absconded with the money because of his illness.

" At present, all businesses of Tianyi Huitong in Shenzhen are operating normally, and there is no running away. This fake news is really terrible, it's killing me ! The various running away and bankruptcy in the logistics circle are scary in themselves, and I am a logistics worker who has been spread around, and it is this kind of thing. " Peng Qisheng was helpless.

Frequent absconding and bankruptcy have caused chaos in the cross-border logistics industry.

As Peng Qisheng said, the cross-border logistics circle has not been peaceful recently. News of running away, bankruptcy, and ransom of goods have continued to come in, and everyone has long been accustomed to it. In the past December 2023, many logistics companies had "accidents".

On December 14, Shenzhen Yunchuang International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd. announced its closure. The company was greatly affected by the external situation and internal capital turnover factors and was unable to reverse the business difficulties.

On December 22, Shenzhen Guansutong International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd. raised funds through crowdfunding to redeem the goods. Due to the rejection of loans and broken capital chain, the company was unable to advance funds. It had to pay 1.68 million for the 9 seized containers and hoped that customers would raise funds together.

At the end of December 2023, another freight forwarder announced that it would cease operations from January 1, 2024. Only 50% of the employees' November wages could be paid temporarily, and the remaining amount would be notified depending on the company's payment situation.

Time goes on. In September last year, a freight forwarding company in Shenzhen said that it would stop operating completely. It would dispatch the goods that have been loaded in containers in a timely manner and take responsibility for them. It would no longer be responsible for the goods that have not been loaded in containers and are being delivered. In August last year, a long-established freight forwarding company in Shenzhen announced that it would suspend the collection of goods for international express export business channels at the end of the month. In July last year, a Shenzhen international logistics company said that due to increasing losses and insolvency, it had been trapped in the dilemma of "triangle debt" for a long time, and its profits were almost gone. In June last year, the boss of a freight forwarding company in Shenzhen admitted that the company's capital chain had problems and was unable to recover. Nearly 200 containers were detained and the sellers needed to redeem them at their own expense...

Too much bad news came, which made cross-border sellers panic for a while. They even dared not to ship goods for fear of losing both money and goods. This also revealed the chaos in the cross-border logistics circle.

Chaos 1: There are many small companies that were established to “cut leeks”. Cross-border logistics is an asset-light industry with a low threshold. One person can form a company by recruiting two salesmen. These companies are basically small and informal companies. Many people set up companies with the original intention of “cutting leeks”.

Chaos 2: maliciously soliciting goods at low prices, disrupting the market. In order to win customers, logistics companies are in a serious internal competition, with no bottom line. Some companies will disrupt the market, accept goods at prices lower than the market price, and not ship after receiving the payment, or use lower-cost channels, and run away after making money.

Chaos 3: The bubble under the "myth of wealth creation" bursts with a poke. The epidemic has pushed up logistics costs, and freight forwarders have made fortunes by buying a house in Shenzhen in a month and a luxury car in a peak shipping season. With the end of the bonus period, the profits of the logistics industry have returned to normal, and many people continue to take advantage of loopholes to try to increase profits.

Chaos 4: Vicious competition among peers continues despite repeated bans. There are too many wolves and too little meat in the market, and the competition among freight forwarders is fierce. They not only compete with each other on price and service, but also maliciously pull down and discredit their peers in order to gain greater benefits.

If the chaos is difficult to resolve, the healthy and orderly development of the logistics industry will not be achieved. The Tianyi Huitong case of running away with the money is a true reflection of this. Peng Qisheng said that Tianyi Huitong has not run away at all, and the company's operations in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Xiamen, Quanzhou, Ningbo, Yiwu, Jiaxing and other places are all normal. If you don't believe it, you can add WeChat pqsh2000 to go to his Shenzhen office for tea, or go to his office in other cities for tea to find out.

At present, the cross-border logistics industry still lacks a healthy competition mechanism, and incidents such as freight forwarders running away, bankruptcy, and ransom of goods continue to occur. In this case, sellers will also have a headache when choosing freight forwarders, and freight forwarders will also care more about their reputation. Some false rumors may really ruin a company.
