A container ship loaded with Chinese goods had an accident! It had been docked at many major ports in China

During the Spring Festival, when almost all Chinese were celebrating the New Year, ships on the European route encountered sudden accidents. It is understood that on February 3 , a container ship named MUMBAI MAERSK sailing from Asia to Europe suddenly suffered a serious ship grounding accident when it was sailing from the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands to the Port of Bremer in Germany.

Moreover, the ship had called at many Chinese ports, including Dalian, Tianjin, Shanghai, Ningbo, etc., and there were a large number of goods shipped from China to Europe on board. When the accident happened, the ship was unloading, so the goods shipped to Bremen Port and the goods shipped to Scandinavian countries would be at risk of delivery delay . Therefore, the sudden situation of the ship also attracted the attention of relevant sellers and freight forwarders.

However, it is reported that the ship has resumed operation at around 1:30 am Central European Time on February 4. It is understood that the operation was carried out in close cooperation between the salvage company Smit and Germany's Havarikommando . At present , all crew members are safe, the ship is not polluted, and there are no signs of hull rupture.

The shipping company also informed the seller that if there are goods on board, please pay attention to the ship's dynamics in a timely manner. For situations that may cause delivery delays, please contact the freight forwarder in a timely manner to discuss solutions for the goods ; at the same time, they also hope to obtain the seller's understanding, and they will definitely solve this problem as soon as possible and effectively to minimize the impact on the seller and freight forwarder's business.

Long-distance shipping may cause unexpected situations on board the ship during the voyage due to weather, ship problems or other reasons. Incidents of such ships encountering unexpected situations during voyage have occasionally occurred in the past.

Therefore, the editor here reminds relevant sellers to pay attention to the cargo transportation situation in a timely manner, pay attention to the progress of the ship's resumption of operation, and communicate patiently with buyers to avoid affecting the buyer's shopping experience due to unexpected transportation situations, thereby causing unnecessary losses to the store.
