Cainiao and AliExpress jointly launched a charter flight route to Mexico, with cross-border packages arriving in as fast as 10 days

On December 6, Cainiao and AliExpress officially launched the Shenzhen-Mexico City e-commerce charter flight route . This is the first cargo route from Shenzhen Bao'an Airport to Mexico, which is designed to handle the surge in orders from the cross-border e-commerce platform AliExpress in Mexico .

 

It is understood that as Cainiao's first China -Mexico international express charter flight, it mainly carries various cross-border e-commerce items and general trade goods, providing more efficient and stable air transport services for AliExpress merchants to expand into the Latin American market. After the flight arrived in the morning local time, there was almost no waiting time for the goods. The Cainiao Mexico team seamlessly connected the operation, and the unloading, picking up and disassembling of the pallets could be completed within 6 hours. Customs clearance was released within 24 hours, and the last mile delivery was delivered to the partners at the fastest time. As a result, Mexican consumers can receive cross-border packages from China in as fast as 10 days.

 

Data from the AliExpress platform shows that the volume of cross-border parcels sent to Mexico by AliExpress has skyrocketed in the past six months, thanks to its stable delivery time, competitive prices and high-quality service experience. As the fully managed Choice service has gained popularity in Mexico, the e-commerce repurchase rate of local consumers has also increased significantly.

 

 

In recent years, the Latin American market has become a hot spot for Chinese merchants to go overseas, and Mexico is the second largest e-commerce market in Latin America. According to the report "Overview of the Mexican E-commerce Market" released by the cross-border strategy agency OOSGA in February, there are about 57.51 million e-commerce shoppers in Mexico, and the total annual consumption is about US$39.1 billion. According to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, the total trade volume between China and Latin America reached a new high of US$485.79 billion in 2022, exceeding US$450 billion for the second consecutive year.

 

In order to meet the growing cross-border e-commerce needs of Mexican consumers, Cainiao and AliExpress have stepped up their local logistics infrastructure in Mexico, with overseas warehouses, distribution centers and more than a dozen high-quality local logistics partners, creating an efficient cross-border parcel delivery network. With the opening of charter flights in Mexico, Cainiao now has an air cargo network covering more than 170 charter flights and board packages in Madrid, Liege, Sao Paulo, New York, Santiago and other places around the world.

The person in charge of Cainiao International Express introduced that the volume of Mexican parcels on the AliExpress platform has increased significantly in the past six months . The opening of the charter flight will speed up by more than ten days, and the purchase frequency of local consumers will continue to increase with efficient logistics and services, thereby boosting the scale of Chinese cross-border e-commerce business in Latin America.

 

It is understood that as the world's largest cross-border e-commerce logistics company, Cainiao's global smart logistics network covers more than 200 countries and regions.
