A woman went abroad to buy a bag, only to find the same model available on Amazon

According to the woman named Catlin, she bought a leather bag at a local handmade leather goods market, but she didn't expect to find the same model on Amazon after she returned home.

Later, Catlin took a video and uploaded it to TikTok to remind tourists traveling to Italy to search on Amazon in advance before shopping.

In the second half of the video, Catlin showed off the light green leather bag she bought from Italy, and expressed disappointment that she had thought it was handmade and could only be bought in Italy. Unexpectedly, not only was the same model available on Amazon, but the price was nearly half cheaper!

It is understood that the bag is priced at US$32 on Amazon , but she spent US$60 to buy it in Italy, and she even bargained with the boss.

Although this shopping experience was not pleasant, Catlin still said that she loved this bag very much. In an interview with local media, Catlin said that she bought this bag at Mercato Del Porcellino in Florence, Italy, and it was the first time that she was cheated in travel shopping.

"It was a small street shop, I forgot what it was called, I had to bargain with the stall owner very hard, and even bought a few extra bags just to get a package price," Catlin commented under her video.

According to Catlin, she came across this bag by chance on Amazon. To confirm her guess, Catlin used the image search function, and the result was as expected: it was exactly the same bag she bought in Italy.

“Never buy something on impulse, shop around and compare prices because most vendors have similar styles but at different prices. Also, use Google Lens or Amazon image search to make sure you are not buying factory goods,” she said.
