Recently, the intensity of investigating and punishing tax evasion in China has obviously increased. Recently, a well-known female star was reported by someone for tax evasion. Unexpectedly, this bad trend has also spread to the cross-border circle.
Recently, someone broke the news that a cross-border e-commerce company in Zhaoqing was investigated and punished by local authorities for tax evasion, and had received a fine issued by the Guangdong Provincial Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation.
It is understood that the company's main business is to sell products to Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy and other countries through the Amazon platform . From 2019 to 2022, it achieved sales revenue in euros and pounds equivalent to a total of approximately 4.11 million yuan.
The information on the ticket shows that many of the company's actions violated the first paragraph of Article 25 of the "Tax Collection and Management Law of the People's Republic of China", and listed various factual bases, including that the company's sales income was not truthfully reported, some employees' salary income exceeded the personal income tax threshold, and personal income tax was not withheld and paid on behalf of the employees.
In addition, the fine also shows that the company paid employees' wages and salaries through Alipay or cash, and did not include employee income such as year-end bonuses and commissions in the employees' "Personal Income Tax Withholding Return Form."
After comprehensively considering the company's various circumstances, the local tax bureau issued it a fine of 17,800 yuan. The amount of the fine is not very high. After all, judging from the company's sales volume, it is not a big seller, so the amount is relatively reasonable.
After the incident was exposed, it quickly caused heated discussions among sellers in the industry. Some sellers believed that the local tax bureau was indeed very conscientious and the amount of the fine was really not much.
Some sellers also speculated that the tax bureau was able to obtain such detailed information about the company. It might be that an employee within the company reported the company and then submitted relevant evidence.
In fact, no matter what the reason behind this incident is, it is an indisputable fact that this company violated relevant laws and crossed the red line. After all, if a company is just operating honestly, then even if someone wants to make fun of it, they will have no way to do it.
Therefore, whether you are a big seller or a small seller in the cross-border circle, when running a company, you must not take the risk of committing illegal acts for a little profit. Amazon company Tax evasion |
