July 10 , 2023 , Shanghai - Today, Amazon's global store opening and new expansion assistance plan was officially launched, dedicated to helping cross - border e-commerce sellers efficiently expand their business development in five major Amazon emerging overseas sites such as Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India, and Singapore through major upgrades in three dimensions: product tools, service training, and preferential benefits. According to Statista statistics and forecasts , by 2027 , the total volume of global retail e-commerce outside of China will reach 3.5 trillion US dollars, with a compound annual growth rate of 11 % . Among them, the growth rate of emerging regions such as the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia is particularly impressive, and there is broad potential for cross-border e-commerce.
Song Xiaojun, Vice President of Amazon China and Head of Amazon Global Selling Chinese Seller Development, said: "Amazon has long been committed to opening up more business opportunities for Chinese companies to develop overseas e-commerce businesses. Over the years, it has opened 18 major overseas sites. On the basis of developed consumer regions such as Europe, the United States, and Japan, it has gradually expanded to emerging regions such as the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Oceania in recent years, and has increasingly shown good development momentum and growth potential. Through the implementation of this Amazon Global Selling New Assistance Program, we look forward to helping more Chinese companies establish a balanced and diversified global business layout, seize the incremental growth of emerging sites, and achieve high-quality long-term development. "
New product tool upgrades make expansion of emerging sites more efficient
From global registration, product selection, promotion, delivery, customer service, to payment collection, Amazon continues to innovate global products and tools to help cross-border e-commerce sellers truly manage their global business in a "one-stop" manner. The further upgrade of the "One-click Registration Global" tool and the "Amazon Export Program" will make the expansion of emerging sites more efficient.
The newly upgraded "One-click Registration for Global" tool has further expanded the applicable sites and simplified the process, making it more friendly to the expansion of emerging sites. First of all, the sites it covers have been expanded from the original 14 to 17 , with the addition of three new sites in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore. Under the new process, sellers only need to provide one set of information to open Amazon's 17 major global sites at the same time , and only one monthly fee is required. Secondly, in the past, sellers who wanted to register for the above three sites needed to provide new registration email addresses respectively . After the upgrade of "One-click Registration for Global ", old sellers can directly use the original registration email address to directly open emerging sites , and new sellers can directly open 17 major global sites with one set of information.
The newly upgraded Amazon export program can support sellers to sell to multiple countries around the site, reaching a wider range of consumer groups around emerging sites. For example, sellers on the Australian site who join the Amazon export program can sell to New Zealand with one click; sellers on the Singapore site can sell to Malaysia; sellers on the UAE and Saudi Arabia sites can sell to more than 6 Middle Eastern countries, tapping into more consumer potential in the region. Currently, both Amazon Logistics (FBA ) sellers and self-delivery ( MFN ) sellers can use this program.
New upgrades in service training to make operating new sites more professional
Amazon's Global Store Opening and New Business Assistance Program has innovatively launched four exclusive benefits, bringing together the official team and successful sellers to provide sellers with all-round guidance "from registration to operation" and effectively help sellers solve various problems in the "new business" process.
First, Amazon Global Store officially authoritatively created a "New Site Development Plan Assistance Package". It includes a panoramic view of new site development operations, new site registration questions and answers, and other first-hand information and nanny-level tutorials for new site development; and will launch a quarterly updated "Amazon Emerging Site Popular Product List", which will provide more than 100 single product-level lists of the five major emerging sites, as well as in-depth analysis of the sales opportunities and growth rates of each emerging site, the site capacity of the reference category, the growth rate and product selection profit margin, consumer preferences, etc.
Secondly, the "New Growth Ace Mentor Class" will be taught by senior Amazon mentors, providing online guidance and real-time Q&A services. The class will be held twice a month, covering multi-dimensional topics from registration to operation of different sites. Thirdly, the "New Growth Ace Experts Talk" will invite successful sellers of Amazon's emerging sites to talk about their practical experience and share the secrets to success through multimedia. Finally, the newly built "New Growth Q&A Group" will be supported online by more than 100 Amazon account managers worldwide to help sellers clear up various problems in expanding emerging sites.
Upgraded preferential benefits, winning at new sites is easier
Currently, Amazon's five emerging sites in Australia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, India and Singapore have integrated a series of preferential and welfare measures covering multiple links such as promotions, warehousing of new products, and logistics.
In terms of promotion, the promotions of the five emerging sites are all or partly free, involving coupons, Prime exclusive discounts, flash sales, 7-day promotions and other promotional activities commonly used by sellers; in terms of new product warehousing, Amazon Logistics’ new product warehousing preferential plan is open to the other four major sites except the Indian site, involving a number of preferential measures such as free storage fees and free inventory removal fees, while the Indian site can enjoy up to 50% new product warehousing commission reduction ; in terms of cross-border logistics, Amazon S END (Amazon's cross-border shipping partner program) has opened routes from China to the UAE and Saudi Arabia, offering more favorable prices than carriers' same-time products . In addition , service projects such as Pre-S supported by third-party logistics service providers can help sellers in emerging sites reduce departure requirements and save transportation costs.
Cross-border e-commerce is a business model that takes a global perspective. Supported by new development trends such as China's foreign trade reaching new highs, trading partners becoming more diversified, and the further increase in the proportion of consumer goods, overseas emerging consumer regions are becoming a new driving force for the development of China's cross-border e-commerce.
