Many Amazon sellers’ links have been removed!

Many Amazon sellers’ links have been removed!

If a brand abuses this threshold, it will be impossible to pass it.

Recently, a large number of sellers have stated that they have encountered brand abuse, and the situation is now getting worse. Sellers whose brands have been affected earlier have been removed but have not been able to successfully appeal. Subsequently, a large number of brands have been locked up in the "small black room" one after another.

Many sellers found that after their brand was removed due to abuse, not only other brands were also removed, but even the WEEE link was subsequently removed...

After brand abuse, sellers encounter other problems

Brand abuse is making it impossible for sellers on the German site to sell WEEE-related products.

Recently, after the brands of many sellers became invalid, WEEE also "went offline". Among these WEEE links, there are many Halloween products. The sellers are in great pain, worried that the Halloween products will be cleared out and the links have not been restored.

According to the description of the seller Xiao Li, he has a WEEE certificate, a six-sided product diagram, a record of the first sales application being approved, etc. The brand was removed due to abuse not long ago, and the WEEE link was subsequently taken down. He is currently confused and does not know how to appeal to get the brand back.

It is understood that sellers selling electrical and electronic equipment on Amazon Germany need to comply with WEEE. Amazon requires a WEEE registration number. If you check the WEEE certificate, you will find that the registration number is linked to the brand. If the brand is removed, the WEEE will become invalid and unusable and will be removed from the shelves. If the seller wants to save the WEEE, he needs to first file an appeal to retrieve the brand, and then contact customer service to refresh it.

Coincidentally, another seller also found that after brand abuse, all links became unsaleable and could no longer be restocked or edited.

The seller said that his brand was inexplicably removed three months ago and his appeal was rejected. He did not pay much attention to it at first, thinking that it would be fine after a while. However, in recent times, the links he had have become unsaleable and require the brand's approval.

When these sellers encounter brand abuse issues, they are inevitably overwhelmed by the difficulty of filing complaints.

The lawyer issue is the focus of the complaint. According to the platform, if the lawyer or law firm responsible for submitting the trademark application when the seller conducts Amazon Brand Registry has been punished or reported by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in the past for violating the rules and regulations of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) , the registration application will not be approved .

Sellers need to ensure that they have a valid registered trademark submitted by a U.S. attorney . They should also avoid using the services of attorneys who have been punished by the United States Patent and Trademark Office ( USPTO) to prevent fraud . It is also best to contact a U.S. attorney directly to complete the trademark application rather than applying through other intermediaries.

Is there a risk in brand authorization of service providers? Be cautious when choosing service providers

After the brand abuse problem broke out, the relevant service providers were extremely busy, and sellers also had some concerns when seeking help from service providers.

Many service providers said that they can use their own brands to authorize the seller's new store and then register it. Is there any risk in this operation? Many industry insiders believe that this operation should be cautious. In their opinion, one of the reasons for the recent registration boom is that many sellers' accounts are associated with service provider accounts. Although brand authorization is a weak association with less risk, if the service provider registers a super large number of brands with the registration number, the risk will increase .

Industry insiders added that if the seller has previously authorized a brand or authorized a service provider to merge reviews , and the service provider's store or the store associated with the seller dies, all the stores that were previously authorized will be shut down. In addition, if several accounts on the same site are associated and the products sold by the accounts overlap, the seller will generally be required to forcibly remove all listings of the new account .

No matter what, sellers are the ultimate victims. Many service providers have made a fortune in this wave of brand abuse complaints. One of the sellers' stores was judged to have abused the brand , and the follow-up sales function was removed. The authorized store was also removed from the permissions. After appealing through the service provider channel, it took 8 days to finally get the appeal back, and the cost was nearly 5,000 yuan.

It is worth noting that sometimes the service provider's help in appealing brand abuse cannot completely solve the problem, and there may be hidden dangers. After the seller Xiao Wang (pseudonym) successfully appealed through the service provider channel, the brand was removed again after only three months. He believes that any appeal not through the registered email address is a violation of regulations, and the brand will be removed sooner or later .

Brand fraud by service providers also occurs from time to time. Some people register a US trademark through a service provider , but after paying the money, the trademark registration has not been reviewed for more than two years, and they cannot contact the service provider even if they want to .

There are many similar things. There are risks in finding a service provider, and sellers need to keep their eyes open at all times.

Rampant follow-selling! Brand spoofs continue to occur on Amazon platform

After this wave of brand abuse , many Amazon sellers have become cautious about "driving away copycats", fearing that instead of driving away copycats, they will end up destroying their own brands. This has also led to the recent rampant copycats. A seller's previous store was closed because of the copycats, and now facing the arrogant copycats, he had to lower the price to get back the shopping cart.

In addition to copycat sales, the Amazon platform is also full of brand spoofs.

The first is to use independent websites to maliciously file complaints against competitors. Many Amazon sellers said that they have been constantly spoofed by their peers to file copyright infringement complaints. Specifically, these people moved the SKUs from the sellers’ Amazon stores to their own independent websites, and then maliciously filed copyright infringement complaints against the sellers. Some of the sellers who were attacked were forced to fight back, and some wanted to fight back, but were afraid that their competitors would attack other links in their stores in return...

In addition, it is also very common for brands to be maliciously registered and filed. Recently, many sellers said that they received internal messages from the site, saying that the other party had registered the seller's brand domain name and extorted tens of thousands of yuan from the seller, claiming that if the seller did not buy the domain name, they would file a counterfeit and copyright complaint.

The annual Amazon sales peak season is approaching, and various spoofs and outrageous operations are on the rise, such as adding adult tags to the entire site, tampering with brand names throughout the site, malicious mergers, tampering with main pictures A+ brand stories, malicious complaints of infringement, etc.

Facing continuous malicious complaints, although sellers can successfully appeal in most cases, it takes time and is not permanent. After a successful appeal, they may face further attacks, and this cycle repeats. "The brand abuse crisis has not been resolved, and spoofs among peers continue. It really takes a strong heart to do business on Amazon," said several Amazon sellers.
