Orders dropped by half! Sellers: No orders after spending all the advertising money

Many Amazon sellers have found that their orders have dropped by half recently. Since the 20% discount, the order volume has suddenly become very low, and there are still no orders after the advertising fees are spent. Yesterday, Amazon's advertising data suddenly experienced a large-scale delay, and many sellers spent only a few dollars, which is 10 times less than usual.

On the other hand, the logistics of the US end is still under pressure, and the delayed delivery has caused the sales of some products to be halved. Recently, Amazon's popular warehouses have continued to explode, and sellers' goods have been mostly distributed to remote warehouses such as VGT2, which has seriously affected the speed of delivery and listing. In addition, the Seattle Port on the west coast of the United States was completely closed, and some of the main traffic arteries on the east coast broke and collapsed, making the entire US end delivery even worse.

Sellers' orders dropped by half, and they still didn't receive any orders after spending all their advertising money

Recently, many sellers have felt the strong "chill" of June: orders have dropped by half or more, no orders are received even after price cuts, and no orders are received even after all the advertising money has been spent.

One seller said that the price has dropped to the lowest point today and he can’t even afford to advertise. Another seller said that his orders have dropped by half and he is crying. More sellers reported similar situations:

“——The number of orders yesterday was reduced by more than half, I am anxious;

——Sales yesterday and the day before yesterday were extremely poor, and we almost didn’t make back the advertising money;

——Falling by half, yesterday and today;

——These two days are super bleak;

——It fell so badly, and the advertising delay was huge;

——The sales volume is so poor that I doubt my life. Even with the large discount price, there are still no orders.

——I can’t even lower the price, the advertising data has dropped significantly, and I dare not increase the budget after the advertising has been spent, waiting to be scolded by the boss. ”

The problem many sellers encounter is that, without changing the ads, the conversion rate of the same precise keywords fluctuates, and they don’t know how to adjust. Some people think that there may be something wrong with Amazon’s advertising system, or that the platform wants to cheat sellers out of more advertising fees.

In fact, there were signs of a decline in orders and abnormal advertising in the past two days.

At that time, the seller Wang Meng told Yienjun that today's order volume was abnormally poor, and the drop was outrageous, only one-tenth of the usual amount, a drop of 90%!

Wang Meng's situation is not an isolated case. Many sellers have encountered similar problems. One of his peers had the following situation: Starting from June 8, sales fell by half, and all the advertising fees were burned up every day, but orders were still bleak. Before that, with the same amount of advertising fees, sales were twice as much as now.

Seller Li Xiao said that the sales volume of the US site has dropped by half in the past two days, and the CPC bidding for new products is too high. It costs more than 1 yuan to bid accurately. If you don’t bid at this price, you can’t spend it at all. The price is in place, but the budget is not in place. A few dozen dollars are gone, and there is no conversion.

June 8th seemed to be a turning point. From that day on, orders from many sellers dropped sharply. Although there was a slight increase on the second and third days, there was still a big difference compared with the previous days.

Looking back further, many sellers have hit record lows in sales since June, and the overall conversion rate of ads has dropped significantly. One seller said frankly: June sales were worse than May, and recently they have been decreasing day by day. The situation is the same for many categories. There was no traffic in June, and I don’t know where the traffic went.

An old seller said that June is the slowest time of the year for orders, and they will slowly recover from the Member Day to October. He analyzed the reasons for the decline in orders this time: since the 20% discount, the order volume has suddenly become very low, and the ads are still running as much, but there are no orders!

Yesterday, Amazon’s advertising data experienced large-scale delays again, making this wave of operations by the platform even more confusing.

One seller reported that the usual advertising costs were more than $100, but now it is only $10, a 10-fold reduction; another colleague said that the advertising data delay was obvious, the cost was overspent, but the order volume did not increase, and the past two days were abnormal. Many people's ACOS dropped to 3% or 4%, and they couldn't help but sigh: "I have never had such a low advertising ACOS in my life!"

Industry insiders joked: "Amazon is finally doing charity. The ad shows that it didn't cost any money. Is it a free gift?"

Affected by this, many sellers dare not easily increase their advertising budgets. According to their experience, Amazon cannot be so kind. What is coming will eventually come, albeit late. At noon, the advertising data returned to normal. Some sellers said that the ACOS was 3% in the morning and soared to 29% at noon. It was like riding a roller coaster, and their mentality collapsed. "

Another reason that affects Amazon's orders is the large-scale delays in terminal delivery in the United States.

Delivery and shelving are slow. Is there anyone working in the Amazon warehouse?

Recently, problems such as slow delivery and slow listing from Amazon warehouses have not improved. Amazon's delivery has been extended to more than 10 days, causing some sellers' order volume and rankings to drop sharply.

An old seller was helpless: " The delivery time really affects conversions now. The sales of one product have been halved in the past few days . " A colleague couldn't help but question: " Is there anyone working in the Amazon warehouse? They are dragging their feet and not registering or putting the products on the shelves . What are they doing every day ? "

Since Amazon implemented its new warehouse entry policy in May, the entire US logistics market has been in chaos. Amazon's popular warehouse reservation systems such as ONT8 and LAX9 have deleted, modified, or even refused to release appointments. Many sellers have lamented helplessly: "It's difficult to make an appointment, and the listing is slow. When can we start at full capacity! "

In the past two days, many sellers have discovered a cruel phenomenon: all the created shipments are assigned to VGT2, and they must be sent to this warehouse. Other warehouses will not be assigned. One seller said that in the past two days, shipments from several accounts were all assigned to VGT2's remote warehouse. A colleague who is familiar with the situation said: VGT2 can only use UPS, and delivery and listing are extremely slow.

In order to ensure the delivery and listing of goods and avoid being assigned to VGT2, sellers found a solution of changing addresses and warehouses. One seller changed N addresses before he was able to get a traditional warehouse.

Not only are Amazon's warehouses overflowing, but the U.S. transportation industry is now once again facing a major test.

According to Bloomberg, the operational disruptions that have plagued West Coast ports over the past week have not stopped, and the Port of Seattle in the United States began to completely shut down port cargo operations on the 10th.

Since June, key dock workers have slowed down their work throughout the U.S. West Coast ports, and some workers have even gone on strike. PMA warned that a large amount of U.S. export goods are currently stranded at the docks.

Professional logistics professionals in the industry said that if the US West Coast ports are closed for one day, it will take at least three or four days to handle the cargo volume. This is like a car accident on the highway. It is impossible to tow the car away and then continue to move forward.

The situation on the east coast of the United States is not optimistic either. On June 11 local time, a large oil tanker truck caught fire on an elevated section of Interstate 95 near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, causing part of the interstate highway to break and collapse, and the highway was closed in both directions.

Interstate 95 is a major transportation route running through the east coast of the United States. The section where the accident occurred has approximately 160,000 vehicles traveling every day, making it probably the busiest section in the state. It is estimated that it will take "several months" to rebuild the road.

Problems frequently occur on the east and west coasts of the United States, and it is difficult to improve last-mile delivery. Amazon sellers' orders have also been significantly impacted.
