Another colleague found that a product copied from Amazon to Temu had sales of more than 1,000 orders a day, surpassing Amazon.

 

According to people familiar with the matter, these products copied from Amazon are sold at very low prices on Temu. For example, a product with a unit price of more than 20 US dollars per customer is sold at about 8 US dollars on Temu, which is more than half the price.

 

Such a direct approach makes sellers say: "Helpless". At the same time, most of them do not have a good solution. A colleague said that it is difficult to protect rights. Many people are not familiar with the complaint process and follow the principle of "less trouble is worse than more trouble". And complaints are useless.

First, from the perspective of the overall market environment, Temu's low prices cannot attract all the traffic. Consumers who blindly pursue low prices are not the users that Amazon really wants. The Amazon platform is also slowly upgrading to provide services for consumers who pursue product quality and better services.

 

Second, the size disparity between the two companies means that it is difficult for Temu to grab traffic from Amazon. Moreover, there are many sellers on Amazon, so the chance of grabbing traffic from a single seller is even smaller.

 

If you can't beat them, join them. Temu is not suitable for most sellers.

Although there are many shortcomings, many sellers are still eager to try. Is Temu suitable for sellers to enter?

 

Da Bing introduced that more than 80% of the sellers on the Amazon platform are "traders" who do not have supply chain advantages. Such sellers cannot get much bargains on Temu and will probably end up with nothing. If you are a factory and can tolerate the platform's supplier agreement, you can boldly enter the market, after all, it will provide you with an additional sales channel.

 

The decline in orders and profits of Amazon sellers has little to do with Temu, and sellers should look for reasons from their own side. Da Bing further said that Amazon is currently in a period of abundant products. In this case, the platform has more choices and will choose products that are more suitable for its customers. Therefore, many uncompetitive products and homogeneous products are bound to be eliminated in the selection. The elimination of products means that a group of sellers will be screened out.

 

This is a fair principle. Imagine that other sellers have been operating the same product for many years, with good product quality and reasonable prices. If a new seller enters the market at this time, it will be difficult to make a profit with the same product. Even if the new seller is willing to invest more in advertising, there may not be a chance. In fact, Amazon's overall orders have not decreased, but as competition intensifies, orders have become more concentrated, concentrated on sellers who can provide users with good products.


Sellers who have been in Amazon for many years must know the importance of products. However, returning to the product and making product differentiation is much more difficult than operating it . If you do not have the ability to differentiate your product, you can only rely on data selection and other methods to take your chances. The probability of choosing a good product this way is extremely low.


Whether facing competition from Temu and other platforms, or facing infighting among Amazon sellers, if sellers want to win, they must fundamentally provide differentiated products, and all transactions ultimately return to the product.

 

Temu is actually not suitable for most Amazon sellers. Faced with fierce internal competition, the sellers’ top priority is to improve their internal skills.
