On February 14 , the latest cross-border e-commerce research report released by the authoritative logistics organization International Post Corporation showed that Amazon and Alibaba AliExpress are the two most popular cross-border e-commerce platforms used by consumers around the world.
The survey covered a total of 33,000 consumers from 39 countries . When asked about the cross-border e-commerce platform they used most recently, 27 % of consumers chose Amazon , 17 % chose AliExpress, and eBay, Shein, and Wish followed with 9 % , 6 % , and 5 % respectively.

In addition, overseas consumers are increasingly dependent on Chinese manufacturing. The report shows that China is still the first choice for global consumers to "buy overseas" goods, and 30 % of consumers will choose cross-border e-commerce platforms from China for overseas shopping. Germany ranks second with a share of 14 % , and the United States and the United Kingdom are tied for third with 10 % . (Global consumers prefer shopping on China’s cross-border e-commerce platforms)
In recent years, the "Four Little Dragons" represented by AliExpress, Temu, Shein, and Tik Tok have all made efforts to help Chinese companies go overseas. For example, the "full trusteeship service" launched by AliExpress has further lowered the threshold for going overseas, allowing physical companies with manufacturing or supply chain experience but no knowledge of cross-border operations to engage in foreign trade and grab orders.
As China's largest B2C cross-border retail e-commerce platform, AliExpress covers more than 200 countries around the world and ranks first in many countries and regions. According to statistics from the third-party data platform App Annie, AliExpress has maintained its position as the number one cross-border e-commerce platform in Poland for four consecutive years. AliExpress became the only foreign app on the list of Koreans' favorite shopping apps in 2022 released by Forbes .
