Russia's demand for smart home products has increased nearly sevenfold in six months

In recent years, with the continuous advancement of technologies such as the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, our lives have rapidly iterated, and the smart home market has also developed rapidly , gradually penetrating into people's lives and bringing about subversive changes in our living scenes.

In the first half of 2022, the sales volume of smart home products in Russia increased by nearly 6.8 times in unit terms, and the sales data also broke the records of previous years, which is eye-opening.

In fact, except in Russia, the development momentum of smart home has been growing rapidly all over the world.

Smart home is developing rapidly around the world. The demand for smart home products in Russia has increased nearly 7 times in half a year.

It is understood that compared with the same period last year, the sales volume of smart home products in Russia in the first half of 2022 increased by nearly 6.8 times in units and 6.7 times in value. The sales data of major e-commerce platforms also broke the records of previous years, which is eye-catching. On Sbermegamarket, sales of smart home products increased by 573% year-on-year in the first half of 2022; on Ozon, unit sales of goods in this category increased by 2.5 times from June to July 2022 compared with last year; Wildberries also stated that unit sales in the first half of 2022 increased by 2.4 times. It is worth noting that the best-selling smart home products on major platforms are nothing more than: smart speakers, smart sockets, remote controls and other products, especially smart speakers, which have almost doubled.

It is obvious to all that the development of smart homes around the world has become an unstoppable trend.

It is predicted that by 2023, 15% of households worldwide will have installed smart home devices. The smart home market share in countries such as the United States and Germany continues to expand. According to surveys, 69% of households in the United States own at least one smart device. By 2021, 41% of Germans will have installed at least one smart home device.

Data shows that the European smart home market is expected to grow from US$26.7 billion in 2022 to US$41.2 billion in 2027; it is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 9.0% from 2022 to 2027. Consumers are also increasingly inclined to buy smart homes, and now it seems that smart homes have become an unstoppable trend.

Major manufacturers continue to make breakthroughs and expand the smart home field

More and more manufacturers are also joining in and expanding their smart home portfolios. For example, Samsung SmartThings, Amazon Echo, Google Home and Apple HomeKit   . We continue to develop home automation systems to meet different application areas within the home, such as energy saving, water saving and safety, so as to penetrate the European market.

As we all know, convenience is the primary factor that makes smart homes popular. Smart homes such as electric curtains, sensors, home appliance controllers, mobile smart sockets, TVs, air conditioners, and sweepers can meet people's needs in different scenarios, connect life with technology, simplify things, and give people conveniences that traditional homes cannot provide.

Home is a safe haven. Another important reason why more and more people choose smart homes is security performance. In addition to the performance of light sensing and automatic curtain opening and closing, smart homes can also perform relatively complex tasks such as real-time streaming monitoring, intrusion warnings and rapid updates. People's emphasis on security has also made it increasingly popular in the home market.

Smart homes have, to a certain extent, realized the need for interconnection between people, objects and the Internet, and their future development space is unlimited.
