New cross-border opportunities! AliExpress's strong growth in the Korean market has attracted praise from Korean media

Recently, the authoritative Korean media "Seoul Economic Daily" reported that AliExpress is growing strongly in the local market with its quasi-local logistics experience of 3-5 days and rich product categories, and will become Korea's most popular "borderless" cross-border e-commerce platform.

In the report, Zhang Rui, head of the Korean market at AliExpress , said: "Korea is a key market for AliExpress to expand this year. "

South Korea is the world's fifth largest e-commerce market, and Korean consumers have a very high demand for Chinese products. Especially with the entry into force of RCEP, South Korea is rapidly becoming a new opportunity for Chinese cross-border merchants.

Korean media reported that as more and more Korean consumers use AliExpress to shop , AliExpress's support for the Korean market is also increasing . In order to solve the logistics problem that Korean consumers are most concerned about, AliExpress and Cainiao have established a preferred warehouse in Weihai, Shandong, which is specifically for the Korean market. By shipping through the Weihai preferred warehouse, a local logistics experience of 3-5 days can be achieved .

At the same time, AliExpress continues to lower the shopping threshold for Korean consumers and improve the competitiveness of Chinese cross-border merchants in the local market . For example, it has developed Korean support services and machine learning technology to enable smooth communication between buyers and sellers ; in 2020, it opened a Korean customer center, and Korean consumers can conveniently use the return and exchange service through the Seoul Return Center .

Recently, media in Chile, Poland and other countries have reported that AliExpress has become the largest cross-border e-commerce platform in their regions. These are markets that are often overlooked by domestic cross-border merchants but have huge potential. With the help of AliExpress's mature market layout and service capabilities, merchants can quickly and at low cost seize new business opportunities.
