Recently, many hot-selling products on platforms such as Amazon have been recalled. Sellers must be careful to avoid potential pitfalls.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced an emergency recall of two types of children's pajamas and a hammock rocking chair sold on e-commerce platforms such as Amazon .
The first is the Kids Tales and iMoonzz brand children's pajamas sold exclusively on Amazon . The reason for the recall is that the products do not meet the flammability standards for children's pajamas and there is a risk of burns to children .
The recalled Kids Tales brand children's pajamas are mainly available in two styles: single-piece and set. The product material is 95% cotton and 5% spandex . There are five sizes: 66 (3-6 months ), 73 (6-12 months ), 80 (12-18 months ), 90 (18-24 months ) and 100 (2-3 years old ) .
It is understood that the product was sold on the Amazon platform from November 2021 to April 2022 , with a price ranging from US$13 to US$ 33 , and 9,100 units have been sold so far .
The recalled iMoonzz brand children's pajamas are available in two styles: one-piece and three-piece sets, in three colors : blue, pink and white . The product is made of 95% cotton and 5% spandex , and comes in six sizes : 3-4T, 5-6T, 6-7T, 7-8 T, 8-9T and 10-12T .
It is reported that the product was sold on the Amazon platform from June 2019 to May 2022 , with prices ranging from US$13 to US$39, and a total of 2,000 units were sold .
At present, CPSC has not received any incident reports involving these two products, but CPSC calls on consumers who purchased these pajamas to destroy the clothes and contact Kids Tales and iMoonzz to send a photo of the destroyed clothes to obtain a full refund.
Another product being recalled is a RIO brand hammock rocking chair because improper use of the pins used for assembly could cause the chair to collapse , causing injury to the user .
The folding chair consists of a black or grey metal frame , a seat and a backrest with a pillow , and some models have a drink holder. It comes in grey, navy, blue, red and camouflage colours , and has a warning label on the back of the chair back or armrests .
The product was sold online from January 2020 to June 2022 on Amazon, Walmart, Costco , CampingWorld , Lowes, and other online platforms , as well as Fleet, Camping World, Costco, Lowe's, and Tractor Supply Company offline stores . The price ranged from $40 to $60, and 786,000 units have been sold so far .
At present, CPSC has received 24 accident reports of this product . The reports show that consumers have suffered different degrees of injuries such as head injuries , back strains, concussions and body abrasions when falling while using this chair .
The CPSC urges consumers to stop using this product immediately and buyers can contact ShelterLogic Group for instructions on how to properly install the pins.
It should be noted that the above three products are all produced in China. Chinese sellers must take this time to conduct self-inspections and stop the sales of related products to prevent losses caused by product removals. Amazon Platform recall |
