61% of UK consumers will shop through third-party e-commerce platforms in 2022

The UK is the third largest e-commerce market in the world and is worthy of attention from cross-border sellers.

 

According to the latest " 2022 Consumer Research" released by Salsify , only 19% of UK consumers are expected to shop on DTC brand websites in 2022, and more people will shop in-store (63%) or through third-party e-commerce platforms (61%).

At the same time, the data shows that 29% of the respondents mainly focus on favorable prices when choosing e-commerce platforms . However, when purchasing high-priced products, 47% of the respondents are more likely to choose trusted brand products, while 36% of the respondents focus on fast logistics guarantees , and 31% of the respondents focus on lower shipping costs .
