Recently, TikTok released "TikTok What's Next Report 2022", which mainly explores the topics that attracted attention on TikTok in 2021 and the trends in 2022.

 

TikTok said in the report that entertainment and business have become more closely linked in the past year , and as TikTok has become a platform for product and brand marketing , community business has exploded.

 

The survey showed that 73 % of respondents felt a deeper connection with brands they interacted with on TikTok , and 67% said TikTok inspired them to make a purchase, even if they had not originally intended to .

 

TikTok 's report also shares hot topics in different regions. In North America, beauty and personal care are hot topics on TikTok, with related content growing by 187%. Among them, hairdressing-related topics are particularly eye-catching, with the number of videos on related topics growing by 3,000% and the number of views growing by 20,000%. In addition, the attention paid to topics such as skin care, eyelashes, and nail art is also increasing .

 

 

TikTok also suggests that brands in this category should showcase more of themselves and behind-the-scenes content of the company, or use products to showcase their brand philosophy and ethics , so as to truly integrate into the community.

 

At the same time, TikTok found that brands working with creators on the platform can increase the viewing rate of TikTok-specific ads by 193%, and the memory rate of advertising content of brands working with creators has increased by 27%. Even TikTok users themselves agree with this practice-62% of people said that creators are the best way for brands to connect with consumers; 78% of users believe that the best brands are those that work with users.

 

The report also pointed out that 2022 will be a key year for TikTok Shopping. TikTok Shopping is a set of e-commerce tools that combine video and live streaming with shopping and entertainment . These tools and solutions will make it easier for brands, merchants and creators to leverage the power of community commerce , helping them market their products and conduct their e-commerce business directly on TikTok.
