After graduating from university, Xiao Liu joined a cross-border e-commerce company in Shenzhen to do operations. After working in the company for more than two years, the company's business was getting better and better, and he also had relatively mature experience in cross-border e-commerce operations.

 

In his spare time, Xiao Liu quietly opened a shop, and started to operate his shop and ship goods to buyers after get off work every day. Xiao Liu said that he was initially involved in distributing goods, and he placed a few orders every day. But this did not last long. Unable to bear the constant requests from his family to return to his hometown in Putian, Xiao Liu quit his job and returned to his hometown to work full-time in cross-border e-commerce.

 

Xiao Liu still finds it funny when he thinks back to when he went back to his hometown to do cross-border business.

 

In the early days of ERP, a broadband and a computer were enough, and sellers did not need to stock up on goods, they only needed to upload them with one click. Back then, Xiao Liu spent 23,000 yuan to buy an ERP, and spent more than 20,000 yuan on buying computers and renting workstations. He also followed other people's advice to sell, and took too many detours. He felt that he was really stupid at the time.

 

 

Compared to the time when he quit his job to work in cross-border e-commerce, Xiao Liu has now achieved some success and has his own operations team and company.

 

"At first, we hired six people and did a lot of publicity every day, but there was not much effect at all. We kept taking detours," Xiao Liu said. Later, he had no choice but to fire the people. But the friends at that time were really hardworking and could work until eleven or twelve o'clock every day. Unfortunately , the wrong direction hurt Xiao Liu's team badly, and the friends' hair turned a lot whiter.

 

Next, Xiao Liu found a friend to work with him on FBA products. At the beginning, he did quite well, with 30 orders a day, and he was able to sell his products steadily. Xiao Liu said that he later moved to a residential building and was busy packing goods every day. He was quite happy during that time.

 

But the outbreak came suddenly, and there were problems with restocking, and out-of-stock became a common occurrence . The key point was that at that time DHL was still limiting the weight of shipments to 50 kilograms per day. Later, this product was determined to be in violation of regulations by Amazon, and the pipe could not be sold, causing Xiao Liu to accumulate a large amount of product inventory, which was trapped in China.

 

After a long period of study and research, Xiao Liu tried several new product breakthroughs, but later found that it was still difficult. Many of the products he selected were prone to violations, so he gave up FBA. In addition, the instability of logistics and the extremely slow warehousing of Amazon FBA warehouses were also one of the reasons why Xiao Liu gave up FBA.

 

But for Xiao Liu, listening to the advice of the leader of a Ma Bang ERP gang became a turning point. Xiao Liu began to expand into other platforms, such as Shopee and AliExpress, and specifically selected products with higher average order values, such as some electronic beauty devices.

 

Xiao Liu's mentality also changed accordingly. He no longer just wanted to get a lot of orders. As long as each product could get dozens of orders steadily, it would be fine. Fortunately, this time the idea was right, and then the product began to grow rapidly.

 

But the good days did not last long, Xiao Liu's troubles came again. One of his products suddenly sold out, and Xiao Liu, who had no dedicated delivery staff, could only pack the goods with his wife.

 

 

When the orders exploded, Xiao Liu said he was stunned and didn't know why it suddenly exploded. From 50 to 60 orders a day, it suddenly increased to more than 300 orders, and it continued to grow. Xiao Liu even asked his parents to help pack and ship the goods, but even so, it was still too late. From time to time, there were small problems and he was busy and exhausted.

 

Later, Xiao Liu started looking for software to solve the problem, but after all, he had been cheated before, so he was very cautious when choosing software this time. Xiao Liu looked at almost all the ERPs on the market and changed ERPs, until he switched to Mabang ERP.

 

Xiao Liu has been using Mabang ERP for almost a year and a half. When he shared this with his colleagues, they asked him why he changed so many ERP systems. Xiao Liu said that the one that suits him is the best, and he is a multi-platform operator, so Mabang ERP just fits the bill.

 

Later, Xiao Liu continued to sell some self-delivered products. Until today, his sales are still very good and he has made a small profit. As for the experience of success, Xiao Liu believes that it is to make your products well, work hard, be yourself, study the products more and study the techniques less, and there will be rewards.
