A profit of 2.2 billion at a time! Amazon's best-selling products dominate the best-selling list

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the demand for medical protective equipment in foreign markets has surged, driving the cross-border medical industry to continue to heat up, and some big sellers have received orders worth billions.

New progress on 8.1 billion orders, 2.2 billion received at one time

In 2020, Guangdong Jinfa Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Jinfa Technology, signed an order worth approximately 6.8 billion yuan with a US company for mask products, but the buyer failed to pay the relevant amount as agreed for a long time and subsequently expressed its intention to cancel the order.

The cancellation of the 6.8 billion yuan order has affected the company's previous positive expectations and made many people worry about whether the buyers of large orders from big sellers can fulfill their contracts.

In the first month of 2022, an order worth 8.1 billion yuan from iHealth attracted outside attention. The progress of the order and whether the buyer fulfilled the contract became everyone's focus.

On February 17, iHealth released new progress on its subsidiary's US orders in January. According to the announcement, part of the payment for the orders has been received .

The announcement shows that on January 13, 2022, iHealth Labs Inc, the US subsidiary of iHealth Medical, signed a "Purchase Contract" for the iHealth test kit with the US ACC on behalf of the US HHS, selling 250 million doses of iHealt test kit products, with a total contract price and tax of approximately 8.1 billion.

As of February 15, 2022, local time in the United States , its US subsidiary has delivered 177 million test kits to the contract counterparty . ACC has also paid approximately RMB 2.26 billion to Jiuan 's US subsidiary for 69,969,420 test kits .

Data shows that the US ACC has paid a total of nearly 2.95 billion to iHealth Labs Inc for 91,137,420 test kits .

Jiuan Medical also stated in the announcement that the fulfillment of the above contract will have a positive impact on the company's operating income and operating profit in 2022. However, there are also some risks. The uncertainty of the development of the epidemic in the United States, the impact of logistics and transportation on the delivery of goods, and product quality are all influencing factors.

It is understood that its subsidiary 's novel coronavirus ( SARS-CoV-2) antigen home self-test OTC kit (colloidal gold immunochromatography) obtained emergency use authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in November 2021 , making iHealth Labs Inc the ninth company in the world to be approved for similar products .

Recently, iHealth has been listed on Amazon’s best-selling list, and its product popularity and sales have continued to increase.

The product dominates Amazon BSR and its popularity in the US continues to rise

As a cross-border seller focusing on the medical field , iHealth's products have not only become hot-selling in the U.S. market during the epidemic, but its brand awareness and corporate benefits have also been continuously improving. The 8.1 billion orders it won this time have made many cross-border sellers look at it with envy.

It is understood that iHealth mainly focuses on the research and development, production and sales of medical products such as thermometers and blood pressure monitors. The main products of iHealth , iHealth's US subsidiary , are mainly sold on its own platform and Amazon in the United States, and its products often dominate the Amazon BSR list.

The hot sales of iHealth's COVID-19 Antigen Home Self-Test OTC Kits are also closely related to the current epidemic situation in the United States . Since the outbreak of the global epidemic, the United States has always been the country with the most serious epidemic situation. The growing number of confirmed cases and the severe epidemic environment have made the United States' COVID-19 testing kits in short supply.

As soon as the news of the 8.1 billion yuan order signed with the United States came out, it attracted widespread attention from sellers in the industry. Compared with iHealth’s full-year revenue of 2.008 billion yuan in 2020, the revenue from this order is equivalent to iHealth’s revenue in the past four years !

In addition to winning a large order of 8.1 billion yuan, iHealth, the US subsidiary of iHealth, has also been gaining increasing popularity in the United States . It even appeared on the screen of the US Super Bowl some time ago . As a Chinese brand, it has appeared on the stage of one of the most influential events in the United States. The strength of Chinese brands should not be underestimated .

The epidemic that has lasted for two years has caused unprecedented impacts on some industries, but it has also enabled other industries to take advantage of the situation and achieve record profits during the epidemic.

As the epidemic recurs, test kits and other products are popular overseas

The epidemic that has lasted for two years has become normalized. Due to strict prevention and control measures, the situation in my country is relatively mild, but in overseas countries such as Europe and the United States, the epidemic has repeatedly worsened due to loose restrictions. Compared with my country's full nucleic acid testing, home self-testing is more popular overseas, and the sales of related products represented by test kits have not decreased.

Traditional nucleic acid testing takes at least several hours to produce results. In comparison, self-test kits are quick and convenient, taking only about 15 minutes. If any abnormalities are found, professional testing can be carried out, which can save a lot of time.

This has also become a daily necessity for foreign consumers to protect themselves, and it was in short supply during the severe epidemic. In addition to the test kits provided free of charge by the government, e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and eBay have also become important channels for consumers to shop.

In contrast, the epidemic in the United States was serious, and there was a shortage of test kits. There was even speculation due to the shortage of supply, and the price increased several times. In addition, the epidemic broke out in South Korea some time ago, and the number of confirmed cases increased sharply. The self-test test kits, which had previously sold mediocrely, were sold out. Many pharmacies restricted the purchase quantity. It was also difficult to get a box on the e-commerce platform, and the product price even soared more than four times.

This phenomenon has occurred in many overseas countries. Recently, the British Prime Minister announced that the country has officially entered a new stage of "coexisting with the new coronavirus", and will fully lift all restrictions on the new coronavirus. Free testing will also be cancelled on April 1, which will further promote the stockpiling of test kits.

Many of these test kits come from China, and manufacturers are overwhelmed with foreign trade orders. The Spring Festival is also a busy time. One assembly line can produce more than 50,000 testing reagents every day , and these reagents will be exported to more than 100 countries and regions around the world.

Under this general environment, many medical sellers have started to buy into the market. Jiuan Medical is a typical example. Not only has it topped the Amazon store list with its test kits, but its stock price has also risen more than ten times. Many medical sellers have also set their sights on this hit product.

Medical-related products are subject to strict scrutiny, and small sellers can only be jealous. However, in addition to these professional supplies, other daily protective products are also essential for consumers. For example, the sales of masks and hand sanitizers have increased significantly.

Judging from the current situation, the epidemic will continue. The track of COVID-19 related products will remain hot, and medical sellers represented by Jiuan have also increased their layout. However, the epidemic has also driven consumers to pay more attention to health, and sellers in categories such as fitness can also pay attention accordingly.
