Newegg cooperates with the US version of "Huabei" to provide installment payment service

Newegg recently announced that it has partnered with e-commerce installment provider Affirm to provide installment payment options for consumers shopping on its platform.

It is understood that Newegg now offers installment payment options for customers who place orders of $100 or more. Newegg shoppers can choose to pay through Affirm , changing the original one-time payment to monthly installments .

In addition, when using the installment payment service on the Newegg platform, Affirm will only charge non- compound interest , and even if the customer pays late , there will be no late payment fee. The cooperation between Newegg and Affirm will further increase the payment flexibility of customers and improve the delivery experience of the platform.

According to Affirm’s Consumer Spending Report, more than half of Americans are interested in using over-the-counter payment solutions for their 2021 holiday shopping. “This holiday season and beyond, consumers are demanding flexible payment options,” said Silvija Martincevic, Chief Business Officer at Affirm. By partnering with Newegg, we’re providing payment options with the flexibility, control , and transparency consumers need to purchase the electronics they love.

“We’re committed to providing our customers with payment flexibility, and that means whether it’s offering the latest cryptocurrency as a payment option or providing a payment service that pays over time,” said Newegg CEO Anthony Chow. “Our partnership with Affirm delivers on that promise, giving our customers what we believe is one of the best over-time payment options available today.”

Using alternative payment methods is nothing new for the Newegg platform. In 2014, Newegg became the first major retailer to accept Bitcoin payments. In July 2021, Newegg partnered with BitPay to accept the cryptocurrency Litecoin as a payment option.

In addition, in October, Newegg said it was testing a live broadcast platform called Newegg Live in its APP, which will allow consumers to communicate with anchors and get exclusive offers during live broadcasts . During the testing phase, Newegg Live will broadcast live every week, and plans to increase the frequency of live broadcasts as testing continues.
