AWS outage reappears, Amazon sellers are blocked from creating shipments

Yesterday , more than 20 Amazon sellers posted on the Amazon official forum that they could not create shipments in the background or the background did not display after creating shipments. The creation path is Inventory-Manage Amazon Inventory, then select Sku and Send to Amazon options.

Some sellers contacted seller support by phone, but customer service only provided a solution, suggesting that sellers try to clear browser cookies, but the attempt did not solve the problem. Some sellers suggested using the pre-update creation process instead of selecting " Send to Amazon ". In addition, you can also try to create a shipment using a mobile phone instead of a computer.

Later, some sellers reported that it might be AWS failure that caused the inability to create shipments. As shown in the figure, AWS has been having a failure thread going on for the past few hours.

At the same time, some sellers reported that in addition to the impact on creating shipments, buyers were unable to use the "one-click add to cart" function when purchasing goods. The seller said that whether it is the impact on creating shipments or buyers' purchases, this may affect the sales performance of all sellers, and Amazon needs to solve this problem quickly.

It is understood that AWS has experienced frequent failures since last year, and Amazon's e-commerce platform has also been greatly affected. It is impossible to log in to the backend, view advertising data, product rankings, etc., and more seriously, it has directly affected the delivery of products. Buyers cannot make purchases at the front desk, and sellers have no new orders for several hours, which has greatly affected sales performance.

Amazon's financial report released not long ago showed that Amazon AWS's revenue exceeded general expectations. The profit generated by this business was much higher than its e-commerce business, and its business growth rate also ranked first. According to foreign media reports, Amazon will continue to focus on its AWS business in 2022.

So far, some sellers have reported that the problem has not been resolved. If sellers are in a hurry to create a shipment, they can try to clear cookies, use a different shipment creation process, change the browser, or try to create a shipment using a mobile phone.
