Amazon candle warmers recalled due to risk of electric shock

In this era of the gradual rise of the "olfactory economy", electric candle heaters have become a new favorite of many young people. They can accelerate the diffusion of aromatherapy candle fragrance in the room and are also a good home item to enhance the happiness of holidays. While the product is hot-selling, the safety of the product cannot be ignored.

Recently, the British government announced the recall of an electric candle heater sold by Amazon. The brand of the recalled product is Samnate, and the reason for the recall is that the product poses a serious risk of electric shock.

According to the British government, the product is produced in Hong Kong. The product picture is as follows:

It is reported that the internal wiring of the product is messy and only basic insulation materials are installed. The wires may touch the metal casing, so there is a serious risk of electric shock. In addition, there is a sharp-edged metal plate inside the wire of the product, and no bushing is provided, which will accelerate the wear of the product's insulation layer and increase the risk of electric shock.

According to the UK government's assessment, this product does not comply with the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016. Currently, this product has been rejected and destroyed at the UK border.

In just one month in December 2021, the British government has announced the recall of 19 products. Among them are some holiday decorations. Recently, the Mankend website has also begun to recall a 2-meter-long LED color light strip.

The product is a bendable colored LED light strip that comes with a remote control to adjust the color of the light. However, the button battery in the remote control is too easy for children to remove and swallow, posing a serious chemical and incubation risk.

Moreover, according to the assessment of the British government, the product does not comply with the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. Currently, the product has also been recalled by Mankind.

In addition, the products recently recalled by the British government include cribs that may break, remote-controlled light bulbs that pose a risk of electric shock and suffocation, alpaca plush toys that pose a risk of suffocation, etc.

In short, sellers must strictly control the quality when selecting products and producing them to ensure the personal and property safety of consumers!
