Monthly visits reach 1.7 million! Startup Bon Femmes becomes a dark horse

Bon Femmes is a start-up home decoration company , but as a new brand, its traffic is growing very fast. According to foreign media reports, Bon Femmes' traffic from Pinterest has increased by 83%. The company's founder Omotola Akinbiyi said that it is difficult for a new brand to get attention .

 

Bon Femmes is a Chicago-based online and brick-and-mortar store that sells art, home decor, cosmetics, and other items made and designed by women .

 

The company's founders said it's much easier to connect with potential customers using Pinterest's tools . Pinterest tools for businesses include a "Shop" tab. This allows retailers to convert their product catalogs into product "Pins" so that Pinterest users can find and share products more easily.

 

Pinterest said businesses can add the Pinterest tag to their websites to measure conversions and use it as a tool for retargeting ads.

 

Omotola Akinbiyi also said that while such a tool does not immediately convert traffic into sales, it still attracts people who may not even be aware of the brand’s website initially.

 

According to the report, according to SimilarWeb data in North America from September to November 2021, nearly three-quarters of Bon Femmes' web traffic came from mobile devices, with an average of more than 8,000 visits to the site per month . It is understood that Bon Femmes is also paying for Instagram ads to gain greater exposure.

 

Omotola Akinbiyi also said that Bon Femmes received a total of 6,330 visits from Pinterest. However, after the Pinterest app update, Akinbiyi said that the website traffic from Pinterest more than doubled , with monthly visits around 1.7 million .

 

Data shows that Pinterest brought the company 15,264 targeted web visits in 2021, compared with 6,330 in 2020, an increase of 83 %.

 

Bon Femmes also said it is working to reduce its environmental impact as much as possible, such as using 95% recyclable packaging. According to the Bon Femmes website, the retailer intends to increase this proportion to 100% , which is in line with consumers' environmental protection concepts and increases their favorability.
