Amazon will not tolerate employees manipulating refunds of 660,000 yuan!

Some time ago, Amazon was exposed to the news that former employees and internal employees colluded to defraud more than 100 million yuan, but this is not the first time that problems have occurred within Amazon. Recently, according to foreign media reports, a case in which an employee illegally manipulated refunds a year ago has recently been ruled on.

According to previous reports by foreign media, an Amazon employee took advantage of his position (it is worth noting that the employee also had two third-party seller accounts) and used his access rights to review and send more than 310 unauthorized refunds to himself and his colleagues in nearly four months, with a total amount of up to RMB 660,000.

Amazon certainly will not be lenient with such incidents. In October last year , foreign media reported that the employee had been arrested. However, according to the latest news, the incident has only recently come to a final conclusion. According to the latest ruling, the employee will face nearly three years in prison and a considerable amount of compensation. Such problems among employees have caused Amazon to strengthen supervision in this area.

Amazon has faced a lot of questions about refunds, but as far as sellers are concerned, most of them focus on the automatic refund policy set by Amazon and the balance between the rights and interests of buyers and sellers.

Amazon has its troubles every year, but they have been particularly numerous in the past two years. First, there were workers' rights protection, employees abusing their positions, and then there were monopoly accusations. In addition to these, many of Amazon's policies have also been questioned by sellers, and its third-quarter performance was also lower than expected. But even with the frequent problems, Amazon is still the preferred platform for sellers and buyers to sell and purchase goods across borders. The influx of 520,000 new sellers has also made Amazon firmly the leader in cross-border e-commerce.

With the arrival of the peak season, many sellers are pinning their hopes on this quarter to reverse their losses. Sellers are looking forward to whether Amazon's Q4 performance will break previous years' records or be a surprise. Judging from the feedback from sellers so far, many sellers have seen a surge in orders, but some sellers have average or even very few orders. Among them, some "dark horse" sellers and products that appear from time to time also shock everyone.
