Recently, eBay released a new announcement stating that it will update the way seller information is displayed on mobile networks.
According to eBay, the policy is designed to help sellers get more conversions and drive sales during the peak consumer season, thereby improving sellers' sales performance. eBay will provide sellers with more exposure and visibility by making some changes to viewing items on the mobile network.
eBay said the policy is divided into two parts. First, eBay has added a new, more prominent way for buyers to find sellers' stores. Buyers on the mobile web will now be able to see a link to the seller's store in the "About this seller" section of the "View Item" page, allowing them to more easily and quickly connect to more of the seller's inventory and learn about the seller's business.
Second, eBay is making it easier for buyers to get important information about a seller ’s business and feedback. On the mobile web, a seller ’s seller name, logo, and feedback rating will now appear directly below the seller ’s listing title, making the seller ’s brand and business more visible . Sellers will also see their overall seller feedback and recent feedback comments more prominently in the “About this seller” section .
A picture included in the announcement shows the specific messages displayed on eBay product listings . Before the change, the listing would display the following information: " Men's Gray T-shirt 100% Cotton ", " $35.00 + Free Shipping ", "Expected Delivery Friday, December 25th "; after the change, the listing would display the following information: "Men's Gray T-shirt 100% Cotton", " 99.8% Positive Feedback ", "$35.00", " Free Shipping ", "Expected Delivery Friday, December 25th". It can be seen that eBay's new policy puts some information that buyers care more about at the top, helping sellers increase product attractiveness.
eBay emphasized that although it generally does not adjust its seller policies during the peak season, after several months of testing, eBay's new policies have an overall positive upward impact on sellers' sales and conversion rates. Therefore, eBay launched the new policy in a timely manner, hoping to help sellers achieve good results in peak season sales. eBay Seller |
