Amazon Mexico expands “same-day delivery” to help sellers increase sales during peak season!

With the arrival of the end-of-year shopping season, consumers want to receive their "trophies" as soon as possible. At this time, sellers should not only do a good job in product sales, but also spend more time on logistics and distribution. After all, if the logistics speed is improved, consumers can receive the goods sooner, which can also leave a good impression on the product and the store, and increase the return rate.

Recently, according to foreign media Discoversma, Amazon Mexico announced that it will expand the delivery range of "same-day delivery". Prime members in the three new states of Merida, Hermosillo and Tijuana can enjoy the service for free. Previously, Amazon has provided "same-day delivery" service to 7 states and next-day delivery service to 55 states.

Among them, Amazon Mexico's electronic devices, video games, toys, kitchen supplies, daily necessities and other products can provide free same-day delivery services to its Prime members.

The same-day delivery service requires that Amazon Mexico users, in addition to being Amazon Prime members, place orders before 11 a.m. local time for the goods to be delivered on the same day. If the order is placed after the deadline, the goods will be delivered on the next business day.

Amazon Mexico has recently opened new shipping centers in Yucatan, Sonora and the California Peninsula, and has opened distribution centers in several states in Mexico.

During the pandemic, Mexico's annual e-commerce sales continued to increase, up 41% in 2020 and 19% in 2021. Amazon, with a 33% market share, has become the most popular e-commerce platform in Mexico. According to the survey, Mexican consumers have a high demand for household food, fashion, beauty and personal care.

Previous surveys have shown that the lack of time limits for placing orders is one of the important reasons why Mexican consumers choose online shopping, accounting for 30%. 21% of consumers believe that they choose online shopping because they don’t have to walk to physical stores to buy.

It can be seen that convenience and speed are one of the important factors that determine the consumption patterns of local consumers. Expanding the distribution range, adding distribution centers, and improving distribution efficiency are undoubtedly measures that consumers want when the sales season comes, and they also help a lot in product sales. While providing consumers with faster delivery services, it can also shorten the order time for sellers and achieve more growth.
