The spoof tactics have been upgraded again, and the seller is offering a reward of 500,000 for clues!

"It's a new day. Have you been copied in sales today?" As the peak season is getting closer, sellers are also facing a real sales competition. In addition to worrying about performance, sales volume and inventory, they also have to be fully prepared to deal with various malicious attacks from competitors.

Some sellers believe that it is easy to fall into a "vicious cycle" when selling on Amazon , that is, being screwed by Amazon, being screwed by peers, and being screwed by peers. Nowadays, although Amazon has not stopped its efforts to regulate the platform environment, sellers are still being maliciously attacked by peers...

"Dark tactics" emerge in endlessly, and some sellers offer 500,000 yuan for clues

For many sellers who have been pranked, the first party to take action actually has the initiative. In this situation, the most common way to deal with it is to endure it again and again. A seller shared the whole process of being pranked by a competitor, and was tortured by the other party to the point of being exhausted both physically and mentally.

The seller said that he had been focusing on developing and operating products for more than a year, and finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel and ranked his product in the top 50 in the small category . However, he did not expect the good times to last long. Not long after that, the link was spoofed by a competitor.

According to the sellers whose products were copied, the other party's spoofing methods were complex and varied. At first, the sellers did not take the other party's verbal threats seriously, but later they did not expect that other products with good sales in the store would be sold out.

At this point, the seller tried to communicate with the copycat via email, agreeing to lower his link ranking below the other party's link ranking, but the other party did not accept the communication and did not stop the spoof behavior.

Half a month later, the other party finally stopped buying out the link. The seller breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that the matter was over, and immediately took action to save the link. Through various efforts, the seller finally ranked the product in the top 100 in the small category .

However, at this moment, the seller discovered that the other party had started to follow-sell links across sites. The other party added sensitive words to change the link of his product into adult products ... The series of actions by the follow-seller made the seller unbearable and he finally decided to fight back.

In fact, facing the "round-the-clock bombardment" of copycats , it is not only the small sellers who are unable to cope with it. In many cases, even the big sellers are racking their brains for this.

In order to better fight back against copycats, some big sellers have spared no effort in spending a lot of manpower and financial resources. Some time ago, in order to find out the "real culprit" who spoofed their brand, a big seller even said that he would reward anyone who provided clues with 500,000 yuan.

It is not difficult to see that any seller who encounters such an incident will be exhausted physically and mentally by the copycats, and "high rewards" are also the real reaction of sellers when they are forced into a corner. For sellers, it is not advisable to have the intention to harm others, but it is necessary to be on guard against others.

It is reported that similar incidents occur frequently in the industry, the most common of which is malicious complaints of copyright infringement. Some followers will file complaints against sellers in the name of brand owners, causing the sellers’ listings to be removed from the shelves. What’s worse, after following the sellers’ products, they will also intimidate the sellers and threaten the sellers to withdraw the lawsuit by threatening product safety.

After being threatened by someone copying my product, the seller said: Fight back!

In fact, in addition to malicious complaints of copyright infringement and other reasons that led to the removal of sellers' listings, there have been many incidents in the past where top sellers in Shenzhen were attacked and 10 hot-selling listings were forced to stop selling. Nowadays, various malicious incidents are still rampant in the cross-border circle.

I believe that many sellers are familiar with the term "follow-selling". Fighting wits and courage with follow-sellers has become commonplace for many sellers. Some sellers even said that follow-sellers sent them threatening emails in order to make them withdraw their complaint emails to Amazon.

Recently, a seller broke the news to the editor, saying that he was maliciously followed in selling. The B* E*** store followed in selling his registered and filed brand products. The seller said that the follower's selling time was between 2 and 3 in the morning every day. He had no choice but to not endure it anymore, and finally stood up and filed a complaint.

The result was obvious. The seller thought the matter was over after the hijacker was eliminated. However, the matter did not end as smoothly as the seller expected. The seller said that he received several threatening emails from the hijacker shortly after he complained to Amazon.

The content of one of the emails was roughly as follows: I waited for a day but there was no reply. If you really are that ruthless, okay, let's do it. Now I'll give you 24 hours. If you don't withdraw the lawsuit, we guarantee that your store will receive a large number of malicious orders in the future. I hope you will pay attention to it.

When the seller did not respond, the copycat sent another email with the following content: You won’t reply to the message, right? Just wait and see, the T*******r brand products are doomed, just wait and see.

Judging from the content of the above email, it can be basically confirmed that the seller is malicious. The seller also said that although Amazon allows sellers to sell products online, it is better not to infringe on other people's brands or steal other people's achievements. Because infringement is never the right way and will be punished accordingly.

The seller then fought back and sent a message to the legal person of the follow-selling company, saying, "B* E***, are you still operating this store? If not, I will give you a bad review, and if you have the guts to follow selling, you should bear the risks and consequences." However, the legal person of the company said that the store had been sold.

In fact, similar malicious competition behaviors such as copycat sales are common in the cross-border circle. Malicious behaviors such as spoofing listings and adding sensitive words to change them are really a headache for many sellers. In many seller forums and seller groups, sellers often complain that their listings have been spoofed, a large number of listings have been removed from the shelves, and they have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars...

For sellers, having their listings spoofed is a real headache, especially when sensitive words are added to the listings and they are removed from the shelves. It is very troublesome to restore them. Not only does it take time to appeal, but even if you can appeal back, the listing will be demoted by Amazon, which will have a great impact on the sales of subsequent products.

The current cross-border e-commerce industry is full of chaos. Once a product is well made, it will naturally attract the attention of many sellers, which leads some sellers to take the risk of choosing the fast path of following sales. Since it is impossible to eliminate the followers, try to avoid being followed. Some sellers have expressed their own opinions on how to deal with follow-sales, saying that they can prevent being followed by registering their own brand trademarks, modifying listings from time to time , and providing gifts. Of course, sellers must be more cautious in dealing with various "rogue behaviors."
