Have Christmas product stocks been in place? US experts suggest consumers complete Christmas shopping as early as possible

Christmas is by far the biggest shopping holiday in the United States and many other countries, including the United Kingdom. Although Christmas is still more than two months away this year, Americans are already worrying about whether they will get the gifts they want under the Christmas tree by then, as it may have been stuck on the dock in China that morning.

According to the report, 42% of U.S. consumers have already set aside a budget for holiday shopping and plan to complete a third of their holiday shopping before the peak of the year , and this number grows to a staggering 43% among millennials .

The shift toward early purchases is largely driven by consumers vigilance against supply chain issues, such as long product shipping cycles and product shortages due to supply chain constraints.

Surprisingly, younger consumers are most concerned about supply chain impacts, with an average of 67% saying they will be impacted by product/inventory shortages during the holiday season.

Based on the shopping data of previous years, and the severe supply chain situation this year that has led to widespread shortages in offline supermarkets, some Americans have begun to buy Christmas products online for early decoration. Therefore, sellers need to make marketing plans in advance based on inventory conditions.

It is worth noting that holiday shopping in the second half of the year is concentrated in November and December, and people are particularly looking forward to Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Christmas year-end promotions to buy their favorite products at super high discounts. However, sellers need to be cautious when setting up promotions to prevent coupons from overlapping with promotions, which would be a waste of time.

Christmas sales are increasing every year. Even though Christmas sales in the United States have exceeded $1 trillion, there is no sign of a slowdown in the growth trend. Regardless, there are still many consumers who shop to celebrate Christmas. This is a marketing opportunity that sellers cannot miss. The early bird catches the worm, and sellers need to seize the opportunity and make preparations early.
