Cainiao launches local express delivery service in Spain and continues to build a global parcel network

Through the global parcel network, Cainiao will work with Spanish General Logistics Systems ( GLS) to provide local merchants with a door-to-door package service, from door-to-door collection to door-to-door delivery at the "last mile" for consumers, which can be delivered to consumers within 48 hours at the fastest, and can achieve "one-piece collection". This service is also called "Cainiao Official Delivery".

 

Currently, the service covers the entire mainland of Spain and is about 10%-20% lower than the market price . It was first tried out in August this year and currently serves about 100 Spanish merchants.

 

"Cainiao's local express delivery service is needed by many businesses, and it provides a lot of convenience for our local collection and delivery of goods . " Paula Yan Zhou is a Chinese who has lived in Spain for a long time. Her brand Casablanca mainly deals in decoration, storage , furniture and other products. She said that the logistics products provided by Cainiao are very competitive and cost-effective. Merchants no longer need to compare the prices and products of other service providers, which saves time. At the same time, the entire process is visible and traceable, which provides great convenience for merchants.

 

As the proportion of global online shopping continues to increase, e-commerce is regarded by more and more overseas consumers as an important shopping method. According to Statista's forecast, the expected revenue of the Spanish e-commerce market will grow at an average annual growth rate of 7.6% (2020-2024 compound growth rate), and the market capacity is expected to reach US$25.824 billion in 2024.

In March 2021, the average daily cross-border parcel volume of Cainiao Global Parcel Network exceeded 5 million pieces, ranking among the top four in the world . Among them , the "5 US dollars 10 days delivery" logistics product has covered European countries such as Spain, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal, etc., and is expected to cover 20 countries around the world this year, allowing more merchants to deliver to the world with the money for a cup of coffee.
