Recently, the editor learned from the official Amazon seller forum that a product sold by a seller was returned by the buyer. The seller then found a lot of scratches and signs of use on the item, so he suspected that the product had been swapped. In this case, even if a claim was made, it would be of no use.
The seller DevCorp said that it sold a watch to a buyer, who then returned it for "always showing the wrong time". The seller found no problem with the watch after testing. In addition, the buyer had used the watch for nearly a week and it was full of scratches. The transparent sticker on the back of the watch was also different from the one sold by the seller, so the seller suspected that the product returned by the buyer was not his product at all.
DevCorp pointed out that the buyer's lies were full of loopholes. First, if the watch was not accurate, why did the buyer continue to use it for a week? Secondly, the watch strap was full of scratches, and it was obvious that it had been used for a long time. DevCorp said that even if it could get a 50% refund through the appeal, it would not be enough to offset the original value of the watch. In addition, the seller did not want to risk receiving negative feedback by filing a complaint, and there was no good solution at present, so he could only swallow his anger and seek help from everyone.
After seeing DevCorp’s experience, many sellers said that this has become a common fraud method.
Seller A: Returning a different item is a popular scam on Amazon and you must protect yourself from it. Hopefully you took a photo of the watch before shipping. Then you have the necessary documentation to prove a different watch was returned. With Safe-T claims, you can apply for 100% reimbursement.
Seller B: Let the buyer know that you are working with the post office to investigate - you want to know the buyer's address and have decided to take legal action to protect your rights.
Seller C: This has happened to me before. I submitted a claim to Amazon and provided valid photos and documents, but it was rejected by Amazon! Amazon does nothing for sellers.
The editor hereby reminds the seller that the seller must keep the item information file before delivery, confirm the buyer's information during delivery, and ensure that the buyer's signature is received after delivery. In addition, when encountering fraudulent buyers, you must use legal weapons to protect your own rights and interests. Amazon Seller Claims |
